I got 11K miles out of mine. Didn't realize the inside shoulders wore so much faster than the outside. Both tires were down to the cords and my left front blew while driving.

7K of those miles were freeway driving from San Diego to Charlotte NC and back.

21294 miles on mine so nails or blown tires so far. Out of those miles I have 10k miles being lowered on eibach pro kit with rear camber arms. So far so good. Ima wait until summer 21 to change all 4 to some Michelin tires!

I know you mean how many as in largest amounts but... I got 212 miles out of mine. Cause I took them off (2017 when R first came out) sold them for dang near retail and put better tires on that were half the price and pocketed the rest essentially taking another chuck off my msrp :)

Uh lol the OP is asking for OEM conti treadlife in the context of the type r. not your 18s. No wonder the mileage you had sounded unbelievable.

To quantify my 23k miles, i had about 4/32" left on the tires. Legal minimum is 2/32. If it wasnt winter in socal at the time i would have just ran them down to the minimum.

Coincidentally the morning on the way to get my tires swapped with the take offs i saw a 10th gen sedan crash in front of me on a long sweeping turn, probably due to crappy or worn tires.

I'm at about 12.5 so far. I've had one "big boy" event with hard driving, but it wasn't on a track.

I have had to have a wheel patched twice, though.

You have a completely different tire and wheel combo.

The ContiSport 6 would likely be cords after 20k of regular driving with some curves thrown-in here and there. They're a soft compound that does well on track but doesn't even have a threadwear warranty and is not projected to last over 10k miles. Especially if they're run hard.

Also price is dependent of the compound and use of the tire, not just brand.

Goodyear Eagle F1s would cost more than anything Honda puts on the Sport from the factory for example.

I have a non-SI 1.5L w/ CVT... and the ContiPro Extreme Contacts A/S that came with my car were down to the tread indicators in a season and a half. IIRC, 8-12k mi. My summer PS4S are only getting a third season in 2021 because 2020 was a covid wash and I did little driving. Otherwise, they are two season tires, at best, on my car.

This thread is mainly looking at the stock tires for the Civic Type R (SportContact 6) which Honda states could last less than 10k miles. I don't think anyone here has been able to push those tires more than 15-20k.

I think car and driver had to replace their set of tires at about 9k. I suppose I have that number in the back of my head and was curious what other people did with their Type R oem tires

I managed about 9K in all until I was down to 3mm
My initial set lasted 10,900 miles in mostly in town and commuter driving..very little freeway trips. Does anyone know, if my replacement tires are 320 treadwear vs. 240 on the stock Contis, should this difference mean about 33 % greater tread life, so close to 14,000 or 15,000 miles of driving? And I have the pressures checked monthly and rotated regularly too. Thanks.
