Rodent Long Term Solution

I just bought a new car and I been hearing stories of rodents chewing up the engine wires. Has anyone found any long term solution to this problem?

wrap the peoblem harnesses with the honda rodent tape BEFORE they attack the harnesses.

My buddy is a honda tech and does cars 1-3x a week with rodent damage.
Not sure if anyone does proactive protection, he gave me a roll of the honda rodent tape and i wrapped the harnesses that come in

This is a very strange issue to be worried about simply based on stories on the internet. Unless the stories you've been hearing are specific to your area???

I would think it could be a problem if you know you have mice in your garage that you park in, or you’re parking in a barn. Maybe if your lot is next to a wooded area, idk.

Similar to if ya have a wolf pee on a doghouse, regular dogs will absolutely refuse to go inside or even NEAR it. Even when raining.. Lol
