awesome, i got the blue already on the way. the main thing for me was just the LED itself being visible in the pocket area.

The lighting will be a lot softer than it appears in pictures.

So I modified the install to have the door pocket/handle illumination to come on only with the parking/headlight switch on (or auto). OEM instructions say to install it to have it on with the ignition on. By doing this modification, the lights will come on the same as the ambient lighting/console illumination.

Passenger side lights - tap the gray wire not the "brown" wire.

Driver side lights - tap the tan wire on the window switch plug not the "brown" wire on the mirror control plug. You will need to tap that wire a little further down from the plug to give the accessory wire enough slack (so you can plug into both plugs without issue).

Tap the black wires as per OEM instructions.

Best of all, if you have already installed it per OEM instructions, you don't need to pull off too many parts to get to the original connections. For the driver side, just pop off the driver window switch (no need to pull off the door panel). For the passenger side, just pull off the two side console trim pieces and the climate control.
So I just completed the ambient footwell lighting and door lining installs, following the directions above to wire them to the illumination circuit. My issue is that the passenger door does not dim with the rest of the ambient lights (though the drivers side does).

Any ideas? For the passenger side I tapped one of the white wires from the ambient footwell kit behind the glove box and tapped the ground line in the door liner.

per the UK Honda accessories site, it says the sill illumination can not be used with the door kit. not sure why.
This is not the case. I am a U.K. owner and I have both of these kits fitted and the ambient footwell kit as well. Just in case anyone wasn’t sure if this is possible. ??

Exactly. I have RHD, and have these 4 kits installed:-
Ambient foot well kit
Ambient door sill kit
Door pockets illumination kit
Console Illumination Kit

If I remember correctly, only the door sill kit and foot well kit are taking power from the fusebox. The rest are taking power from different places nearby the accessories. Even if you were to take power from fuse box, you can use the dummy connector to loop more.

I believe you can have all the illumination kits offered by Honda in a vehicle without having to worry about

You sure have to get them all if you like the illumination, but I'll suggest you to do them at once to cut down the installation time because basically you have to remove almost the same things, climate control, infotainment, glove box, driver side lower dash panel, for installation.
