I just got a chrome delete done, and I’m very happy with it, but it’s still only a 99% solution.

Is it possible to order just the chrome trim pieces? If not, does anybody know what parts set the pieces are part of?

I’m thinking about trying to find an extra set that I can mess around with. Paint. Dip. Hell... powdercoat ??‍♂

That's an awesome kit. I'm going to call and see which parts would fit on a sedan and/or if they have something like that for the sedan.
Is this kit any more reliable than just getting it vinyl wrapped professionally? Local body shops have quoted vinyl for window trim and front and rear bumper at $300-400 and getting it painted would be like $700-800. Makes me wonder which is the best option for price

It's OEM Trim. The Hatch Sport had black trim, that's what they're selling. No civic sedan comes with black trim, hence it not being an option.

For the price of professional vinyl install, you can get multiple jetsvinyl precuts or a large roll for DIY and have plenty to practice/get right.

Yeah was wondering if the trim is replaceable. Could get it powder coated or something then install.

I had it wrapped for $150. Absolutely worth me not getting aggravated af doing something I hate doing. I didn’t like the kits either, and none of them use 3M 2080 which is better.

It’s a 98% solution and now I’m looking into 100% solutions to see if they’re feasible and suitably priced. Stinks they don’t make factory trim in black.

I believe they do in other markets (non NA). Getting the parts and part numbers might be a challenge though.

AFAIK, @Rone811 did the wrap on his Si. He might be able to share his tips.
Thanks @zspeed
Actually had to look up AFAIK first of all :D before I posted anything.
So members were telling me that chrome delete by a shop was starting at 250$ and the do it yourself kit is 26 buck. I used a vinyl tape and not the pre cutouts and ended up chrome deleting the oem visors too.

Honestly, if I can do it anyone can. Remember I didn't know what AFAIK meant.:p

@Mr.Honda got his chrome delete done this weekend and I think he did an amazing job.

I just plasti-dipped my chrome. Looks great and can be removed easily. Cost me $10. I can reapply as needed.

Wow. A roll of blackout vinyl is $10-15. Throw in a quick car wash and some 70% alcohol and you too can have black trim.

Haha I know. I ended up ordering 3m black matte vinyl for like $15. Will just do it myself with patience

Some tips to help you:
Buy enough vinyl to mess up twice and replace twice. You will need the practice
Get a 30 degree snap blades. Soooh helpful
You need a thin squeegee for the back of the trim
Widest parts of side trim are 3in.
Remove the rubber liners, makes the job so much easier
The chrome trim has little plastic caps. Determine if you want to cover the little caps first. Beats wasting vinyl
Remove the sidemirrors to get better coverage on the front door trims (easy to do)

Thanks for the advice man! I bought enough to mess up once along with a kit that came with some tools (blade, squeegee, etc). I'll definitely remove the rubber and mirror. Did you use a heat gun for a quick seal?

Yes. If you pull the vinyl tight, it will shrinkwrap itself against the trim when you heatgun it later.

Some photos of my trim. Vinyl is Vvivid Brushed Steel. Toying with wrapping the bottom trim as well.

Please excuse the dirty car. Waiting for the fires to stop before I get a car wash.
