18x9.5 +38 should not have issue if you go with the right tire. Typically, based on our records and customer experience, 255/35/18 is the optimal tire to go with for no cutting/rubbing. Stay away from R-compound tires which tend to run a bit wider.What alignment specs are the people running 18x9.5 +38 at? A lot of these say there is no fender modification but is that just cutting? I prefer not to do anything that's permanent. I've read that some people have pretty bad rubbing issues with 18x9.5 +35. Lol all this is very confusing.
