Now that they have been out for awhile, is the Mishimoto intercooler 500.00 better than the PRL???

To be fair, the Mishimoto is only $1040 at kamispeed.com compared to $750 for the PRL so only a $300 difference. Furthermore the Mishi comes with intercooler piping vs. re-use stock piping on PRL intercooler so the price is reflective of more than just the intercoolers alone. That said, PRL makes good stuff but the Mishi looks to be bigger and seems better to me, no experience with either so I can't speak to this.

I’ve had parts by both companies in previous vehicles.

Never had an issue with Prl. I have had issues with Mishimoto and their customer service is appallingly bad.

I have the Mishimoto and have installed my buddies PRL with him. Quality wise the Mishimoto is nicer, there is the flexibility to run stock piping as well for people looking to save some cash. The Mishimoto is slightly bigger too, however they are both rated for much more horsepower than anybody is currently pushing at the moment. Can't go wrong with either, I went Mishimoto due to the presale discount, if you are buying the full intercooler with piping combo though, the PRL price is hard to beat.

any updates on these 2?
currently shopping between these 2 FMIC.
if you disregard the difference in price... and just base it on quality and performance. which one is better??

MISHIMOTO FMIC w/ full piping or PRL with full piping?

How do you intend to drive the car? That will kind of determine which intercooler to get

Why someone would pay the price that Mishimoto asks for a copied Chinese made product is beyond me.

What if they were equal in price? Which one is superior?

perrin is a good cheaper alternative, its actually what i have becuase i just wanted something that would hold 600hp if i ever maxed my kit out.

You dont need piping unless you simply want it

Mishimoto isnt a copy, its developed by them.

Sorry but all Mishimoto does is copy products and have them produced in China. It's been a known thing for a decade.

OK. So maybe they're doing some design work on their own. Going to deny that it's all made in CHINA?
