Let me start by saying I'm absolutely a fanatic about my 19 Sport Hatch. I adore it's color and it's been my favorite car and the most fun to drive I've ever owned. I baby the hell out of it. It's washed with a two bucket wash normally twice a week, detailing the interior once a week as well. The car is just under a year old and has NEVER gone through an automatic car wash or had anything else besides a hand wash that is done in straight lines. The car has very little swirl marks or micro scratches.

I mostly use Chemical guys products and I know they can be controversial so understand I'm not pushing them but I have had very good results overall and I've always been happy with their products. I wanted to see what a glaze would do to the shine on the Rallye red and I couldn't be more pleased.

I did a two bucket wash after doing a full foam cannon using Chemical guys honeydew foaming car wash. The car was then dried fully. Did a full clay bar over the entire car. Did a second wash to remove the rest of the lubricant from the clay bar. I then applied Chemical guys Glossworkz glaze which is more recommended for my cars color. I applied the glaze over the whole car and let it sit for 15 minutes before buffing it out. The results in my opinion, were amazing. I then applied JetSeal (also a chemical guys product) over the whole vehicle in a similar manner, waiting 20 minutes before buffing it out. After 4 hours, I'm thrilled with my results. Hopefully they are as visible in the picture as they are in person.

Also, if anyone ever wants to talk auto detailing or products, feel free to message me. I love hearing about other experiences or products and also sharing knowledge.

Looks good. I performed 1 step paint correction on my 7 years old Toyota Tundra using Sonax perfect finish top off with Ethos ceramic wax. The Ethos ceramic wax is still holding strong with no topper spray 4 months still bead up water. Btw I love detailing

Just getting into detailing since I picked up my CTR. Can you please elaborate on your awesome water/rinse setup? I have a standard water softener for our terrible rock hard water but what you have looks something out of a lab. Thanks

I’m running a D.I Rinse Pro 100 Spot-Free water system hooked up to my Kranzle K1322TS Pressure washer very simple setup but pricey. D.I Rinse has bypass valves “red knobs” that let you use land water for the 1st rinse and switch the valves to spot-free for last rinse that simple. Here’s a link

if you want the whole run down I could make a list of things you need.

Thanks for the info. Seems pretty elaborate. I see ur from the LBC. Guessing your city water is just as hard as the water in the OC. Since I currently have a softener, will this make a significant difference in the overall water quality for washing and rinsing? Did you have it professionally installed? You have a separate spigot for watering plants and the lawn? Ty

I just tried out some chemical guys this past weekend. The results were great! I'm curious how long they will hold up. Mine is a 2017 so I went through some minor paint correction along the way.

I’m currently living in OC and yeah the water sucks compared to LBC. I also run a mobile detailing service that dose LBC and OC area. Check me out on instagram lb_glossworks

System is getting water from spigot to garden hose into my system, everything is quick disconnected .

The car looks great! I'd however suggest topping with some sort of LSF product, wax. I personally use Soft99 Fusso Coat and am incredibly thrilled. I've also used Collinite 845 but I've started favoring Fusso a lot more lately. They're both waxes that last ages, fusso is a hard wax best applied super thin by hand, and Collinite is a liquid wax best applied (personally) with machine. I'd personally go with Fusso.

People hate on CG because they see it as overpriced and they say that many of their products are just copies of eachother. The hate comes from their YouTube channel and their marketing, I guess. They have some great stuff but also some really meh stuff, like any company.
