So this past weekend I hit the green hell(Nurburgring) and had some cooling issues(running just a bigger intercooler/stock everthing else) she did well in the twisty bits but the temps started to climb in the long straight...has anyone seen that on theirs? I have an oil cooler and grill coming in but after that not sure what could help cool her(not ready for a vented hood just yet).

Turn your climate control to max heat with the fan setting set to max and blowing through the top vents. Don't run the feet vents or you'll burn your legs. Ask me how I know.

By doing this, you're adding more heat capacity. Your car's heating system works by capturing the wasted heat. Notice how your hvac doesn't blow hot air when the engine is cold?

This isn't really a real fix if the car is having overheating issues, but it may buy you a few more minutes before the car engine overheats.

These are street cars at the end of the day. Driving beyond the limits of a street car isn't the top priority for Honda compared to emissions and MPG.

Your IC is too big more than likely. Which one do you have?

The intercooler's job is to cool the charge air. This means the car is running at higher power levels for longer which will raise temps to an already underwhelming coolant system. This in turn will cut the power and now your intercooler is useless.

Sell your Wagner and get the PWR or go back to stock. The Wagner core is nearly 5” thick which is trapping a lot of airflow.

You asked for advice and now are choosing to ignore it. On top of that, you’re trying modifications that have already been done and haven’t solved overheating completely. Yes the grill and oil cooler are necessary but I am telling you that your intercooler is making your problem worse.

A simple test is just to run your car with stock IC and compare ECT temps. Could even do this on track if you have tools
