I had ordered the intake i signed the papers to the car, knowing i had a few days to pick the car up.. the intake arrived soon after deliver.

The takeda intake is an easy install, i assume most intakes are similar in terms of installation.

I obviously wanted more power, so i looked into hondata but wasn't really sold on it. I was set on motec but had an issue in the way. The package only listed support for 17 and 18 I asked motec about support for 2020 and they weren't sure, they knew 2019s were confirmed to work but asked if i could get them some canbus data to confirm it matched what they already had. I didn't think it would be too far off knowing the ecu was the same. So i did.

Once they confirmed all was well I pulled the trigger on it.

It was the best decision yet, a easy install with a base map that was about perfect. My tuner set it up well enough to drive while i wait until hes done with his imsa racing.

I did grow tired of the ethernet cable through the window, i bought a wireless kit from my tuner as well. It can reach my office in my house from my detached garage!

With a good source of E85 i needed a fueling option. Not sold on Hondatas re naming of some random pump, i can make my own swirl pot (with inspiration from Ty W) I will run my oem pump feeding both as far as it will let me for now.

I was going to tackle the wiring, but i knew i should leave it to a pro. Salasko racing made me a full concentric twisted and tefezel harness. I love it.

Love the build turbociv910. Fantastic! Big fan of what you are doing. Added to my watch list.

When time permits, can you please elaborate what to expect with the MoTeC142? Will be looking to add that in the near future and finally get tuned.

Does the Borg Warner physically alter the location of the down pipe in any way or is the length footprint the same as OEM? The Borg Warner looks much larger.

With the larger turbo and fueling upgrades, are you planning to build your engine and upgrade your clutch as well?

Thank you Sir!

The stock ecu is capable of tuning this car, im just a nerd and know the value of a motec. Its very easy and quick to tune. I havent really done much to my stock turbo tune except touch it up in some areas for fuel trim sake. Running 24 psi right now.. timing map is a stock comprable map. Knock sensor shows little noise when getting into full boost.

Im not sure, i dont have the hot parts yet from full-race. I assume is generally the same, but the down-pipe fits the to the stock location. Im looking to get a full 3" over pipe and exhaust before i let it go on some higher boost.

Stock engine for now.. Moving the torque curve to the right helps a lot with bending rods. Not trying to go for high power stock block record or anything. I have a twin disc clutch from my 19 civic si.. I can buy the flywheel from a ctr twin disc kit and mount my clutch basket on there.

Rampage stud kit for the turbo kit. Never held titanium hardware and is notably lighter!

Installed the APR Gourney Flap.. never installed any stick on products and it was very nerve racking to get it flush and flat the first time. I only had one chance to do it

Definitely watching this thread, looks like its going to be wild!

Do you have a certain power goal in mind? Will it be mostly a street car or will it be build for track reliability as well?

Also, I definitely recommend upgrading the intercooler before turning up the power... these cars overheat quickly in stock form, nevermind an upgraded setup.

the ease of motec applying port injection. I still have to make this a 3d table but a global % sure does change the way it sounds running on partial port injection

How much power do you think you can safely squeeze out without a built motor do you think? im planning on going the same route but Syvec as the ECU and Built motor. or i can put off the built motor and upgrade to the motec.... i know moving the torque to the right helps ton with not bending rods... i want to go port injection with the least amount of trouble.

im not sure, ill start and work my way up to 400-425 ft lbs and leave it. Went a little spending spree this year, will try to save some money come the next few months then look at a motor build.

motec has 30 canbus entries in the package to be near OEM ecu functions (cruise, abs, vsa). unless your skilled at that sort of thing, id recommend the motec based on simplicity sake. Unless syvecs is developing a fk8 platform, then go with them, great ecu as well.

I can share technical notes with you when the time comes if you're using a motec and have basic knowledge of wiring and setting it up.. the dealer ive purchased from has been really helpful with everything with the port injection.

Yea Syvecs already has their S7+ FK8 plug and play ECU out. no doubt the 3rd party help from Motec would be greater since there's quite a few people on here running them compared to Syvec. but i already lined up 2-3 tuners who are experienced/capable to work on Syvecs.

i also may not go port injection and just get larger injectors and HPFP since both standalone ECU would support it.

port injection is cheaper by far and much higher hp capability. 4p said oem injectors can only pump 450ish hp with a xdi, 1600cc injector are another 1500$ for new ones. Main reason i went with port.. just cap it at 80% and put the rest through the port system.

I just googled it, never knew they had that. Looks nice.

i thought the same.... are you running a separate pump for PI or running everything off the HPFP? i think i confused myself reading the above. i wont be running E since there's no place close that has it... im just trying to get an idea how i would need to plumb in the lines for the PI. i Saw how Ty W runs his with a surge tank but dont want to go that route unless forced to

My feed to the port injection is T off the feed line to the HP pump ~75 psi rail pressure. Im betting i run out of pump before i make any real power. I hate cheap chinese style pumps-aero, dw,grams,hondata.. seen them all fail.. new, used, 2 weeks old.. you name it. i think i will continue to use the factory pump and convert it to low low pressure feed and run a surge tank with the built in pump/ regulator similar to Ty. A Radium surge tank with a 450 walbro should feed everything i can make with a 7163.
