I looked under my hood, I honestly had no idea where to look still. I took some pics but idk if they show anything. Hopefully you guys can tell

Unfortunately none of these pictures show the spot. Check my picture and you will see the oil and where it sits

Wow dood, the 5th post shows exactly where it's at which is on the firewall side as stated and yet somehow you still missed it. Hint, check around the intake manifold. Amazing.

There’s a million things underneath the hood and I have barely any clue what a majority of them are. Sorry for being uniformed but I’m trying my best here. At most I doubt I have any leak because I figure oil would stick out like a sore thumb.

This image almost shows it, I circled the portion of the image that kind of shows it but is not very clear.

If you prop the hood up on the higher notch so the hood is as high as it can be, stand behind your front passenger wheel, and look at the corner of the engine closest to you, it is where the black plastic meets the silver metal in the blue circle

Thank you so much for pointing it out. I’m stupid because I was using the wrong notch so I could barely see into the engine bay without running my head into the hood prop. Now I noticed the higher one and I have much better visibility. I think I captured it this time.

no worries, these pictures look good. There is some sediment there but doesn’t look like the Sediment is sticking to oil so that’s a good sign!

Yep, that's what I thought. Nothing that looked like oil in that vicinity at all. Looks like I'm a lucky one! Thanks again for the help.

Here is where I found my valve cover leak. Engine cover removed. Look towards the rear on the driver’s side.

With battery terminals disconnected, pulled this plastic wiring manifold back a little to see. This catch groove was filled with oil.

A closer look. Evidence oil leaks

More evidence. Pretty sure if the upper oil dripping down was due to the crappy Superstik dipstick which doesn’t seal and allowed blow by.

What build date is your 2018? I find it weird that some people have it and others don't.

Checked again, not removing anything but I wiggled my camera back there and it’s bone dry. I looked on the opposite side as best as I could and I saw nothing oily.

My 17 type r was leaking and the bolts in the rear of the valve cover were not even almost snug in fact I could turn them by hand. Tightened the bolts and it stopped leaking.

Wow how did I just find this thread? Too bad I didn't drive my CTR to work today. I'll have to check this out when I get home.

I checked for this after my most recent autocross. No signs of any leaks on my 2020. I'm still on the factory oil fill at 1250 miles.

I didn't notice mine until 8k miles. But I never looked prior to coming across this thread a while back. Got the gasket changed under warranty. So far so good.
