Honestly, no, everything looks perfect. There are just a few edges where the PPF wraps over that need to be trimmed due to a bit of excess material. Other than that everything looked perfect. The Ceramic Pro looks great too. I should post a few pics here lol...
Good! That's awesome man. That's not bad at all, I'm glad it's turning out. Yeah I'd love to see a few pics when you get the chance!

Thankyou for sharing! Looks beautiful man! They did an amazing job. IMO there isn't a better looking color on a type r. What's next for that beast?

Thank you, Sir. Iā€™ve done quite a bit already, however, wheels will be next. Iā€™ve already got them on order :) should be here in about 3 weeks. Then Iā€™ll ceramic coat those too.

Siiiick! That will set off the look of the car so much. Wheels are a must imo for the type r. Same for the Si too, I really can't stand the factory Si wheels. Can't wait to see what you chose!

sounds like the shop you took it to only use 1 rag to wipe down the coating, pushing the coating around and not leveling coating with 2nd rag. btw not all coating is smooth to the feeling and some arenā€™t dependent on hydrophobicity, So that protection underneath will still be there even if the beading isnā€™t . The shop might of sprayed a topper like beadmaker or some kind of sio2 topper to get that smooth feeling you felt when you got your car back from the detailer

Hmmm interesting. Thank you so much for all the info. I take it back on the 13th of July so hopefully it's a better result.

Dropped off the car this morning for her "3rd times a charm" ceramic coating. Hopefully. It's all become so clear to me. As soon as I pulled in, faster than I could even shut the car off, I see the owner of this establishments son charging towards my car. I get out and greet him kindly as I always do and he goes off on how "it's impossible that you still have high spots! I got them all out the second time! There is no way! I've never done a bad coating! I just did my white F150 and it's perfect! go look at it!" My response once he was done venting. " yeah, there is at least 50 high spots not counting the wheels, wheels are a disaster, each wheel is one big high spot/streaked rainbow. He replied " okay then show me and I'll mark them with this yellow tape " I respond "it's very hard to spot them in the bright daylight, I spotted them all around 7 when it started dimming" he then responds with "nope! Not true you can only see them in the bright sunshine" this response got me super excited to make him look like a fool so I took him to the worst spot on the front bumper and i said "hmm I know there is a bad one somewhere around here"(playing dumb of course) he then says "nope! No high spots there!" Haha he fell right into my trap! I respond with shading the horrible area with my hand to block out some daylight and I ask him" well what is that if there isn't a bad high spot? ":flame:HAAAA GOT EEEEM! THE LOOK ON HIS FACE!? He then started to simmer down a bit after that and admitted that it was a bad high spot. I told him that was a good example of what's covering the whole car. So in the end at least I know for certain what has been going wrong. They've allowed there son to start coating because he did a "good job" on his white big boy truck. I'm calling tomorrow to make sure they do the whole thing over again and best believe if it's not right this time my money is going to be refunded. I'm not driving this 2 hour drive anymore. They're wasting my time and money on gas. Just an update guys.

Hereā€™s a taco I coated a few days ago, having a detailing light that put out 5 different color temperature is key and applying coating 15x15. The son must of applied coating to whole panel and wiping of the area missing spots

Looks sharp man! Wish you did my car lol thanks for the heads up on your technique, you're probably right. The car literally is a mess, if you saw it in person you would be shocked. This is a well known , highly rated establishment and that's how I know he hasn't done many coatings, if any besides his truck.

Almost sounds like they didnā€™t clay bar the first time and just ceramic coated over high spots in the paint possibly and afterwards was not able to remove them (obviously) with another coat of ceramic :dunno::what:

hmm that's a good observation. They definitely hit it with the clay bar but I can tell you not good enough. when I got it back the first time I found several spots of tar that they missed so he for sure did a shit job with the bar.
