That pretty much sums it up. We plan on socially distancing while splashing in the back yard.

/thread?
Good plan, Senior. Get some chlorine test strips and keep PPM in the safe range and you're good to go.

Oh, yeah. Technically, to be on-topic is to stay off-topic. See below.

So how about this conspiracy theory. China developed this virus to cripple the US economy because of the new tariffs we imposed.

Whats "deluded" about it?

THOUSANDS die EVERY year from the Flu and nothing gets shut down.
Over 500,000 people died from the Swine Flu outbreak world wide and nothing was shut down.

WHY are they shutting down stores and schools for this mild (for the majority of people) virus when they don't shut down everything for the Flu or other outbreaks???

Is it a coincidence this is a election year??

Maybe some people WANT the economy to tank to try to make someone look bad who they couldn't remove from office!!
You don't know what is coming.
Read about the 1918 Spanish flu and the errors made and hope for the best,
But the best it's not coming.

Don’t come down to sunny LA. It’s officially closed for business starting midnight today. Worst projection is that over half of the Calif. population could become infected within 8 weeks.

We do? I did not know that. So why are we allowing hundreds of thousands of people die from it every year? Or... who's WE?? Who are you people who have a cure for flu?
We have antiviral for the flu.. Meanwhile we have jackshit for the current virus.

Yeah, except it doesn't cure the flu.... Or, it only cures those cases that would go away by itself anyway. :D There are also no effective vaccines for any other coronavirus or any other viruses causing similar respiratory illnesses.... so the current expectations for a vaccine in a year or so are rather weird and baseless...

You can try to downplay the virus all you want.. It's already spread all over the world. We should take necessary precautions.

If China's intention was to hurt the USA, they shot themselves in the foot to do it since they have suffered a mass disruption to their economy from which they are not expected to recover for a couple of 1/4's, if ever. Not to mention thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of illnesses.

Speaking of the US economy's hit from this: total new unemployment claims in the USA were 210,000 three weeks ago. During the first 3 days of this week, new unemployment claims totaled 78,000-in Ohio.

I dont think most are trying to just "downplay" this. This should be taken serious regardless of the data but they are absolutely taking it WAAAYYYY to far while hiding data or presenting inflated numbers with no accurate way to measure the people that have/had it and didnt have a problem.

.025% mortality rate.

. 0 2 5

Point Zero Two Five Percent.
