Nothing big, just found that the 2020 JDM FK7 has a small change on the map light lens, that looks like a projected lens to me, not sure what change it would make though......
a guy in Japan did the swap on his FK8

On the other hand, probably only I care about this here lol looks like the law related to fuel efficiency may have changed a little bit in Japan, or maybe the 2020 model is not as fuel efficient as previous years, the fuel efficiency sticker (the green one) has changed in the 2020 model:
2020 model: https://www.honda.co.jp/CIVICHATCHBACK/webcatalog/performance/ecology/
2020 model spec sheet: https://www.honda.co.jp/CIVICHATCHBACK/common/pdf/civichatchback_spec_list.pdf
Pre 2020 model: https://www.honda.co.jp/auto-archive/civic/5door/2019/webcatalog/performance/ecology/
Pre 2020 model spec sheet: https://www.honda.co.jp/auto-archive/civic/5door/2019/common/pdf/civichatchback_spec_list.pdf

How the fuel efficiency graded in Japan: https://www.mlit.go.jp/common/001178374.pdf

From the spec sheets, we can see the FK7 is about 1320-1350 kg, which should fit in the 8th row in the grading document.
the Pre 2020 model has the grade of standard +10%, meaning it achieved 17.4 km/l, while the 2020 model only meet the standard, meaning it only achieved 15.8 km/l

Then after all these observations, I finally see it says right on the top of the ecology pages, 16.4 km/l (WLTC mode in 2020) vs 18km/l (JC08 mode pre 2020), I guess they've changed their way to test.

Got to post this old picture while talking about this (I know it's kinda nonsense to put it on, as I've observed that removing this sticker is actually one of those first mods that real Japanese would do lol but I guess my definition of being "JDM" is a bit different :p )

Now that I look closer, I actually got the green sticker wrong:banghead: Mine's Heisei 22nd year, but the standard should be Heisei 27th year, o well

the recirculating valve doesn’t make much noise maybe none at all. A blow off valve would but shouldn’t be ran on CVT, it will be the intake that you are hearing and some of that turbo.
I hear the bypass on my stock Si, and it seems intakes just allow for more of that noise. It seems the PRL Cobra allows for more sound; just wondering how the Mishimoto compares. I know about how BOVs affect our cars. Good looking out, though!

What are those on your tail lights??
The only mod on the tail lights came from the previous owner, just the vinyl tint on the reverse/turn lights. I like the look though. Now that you mention it, when I see that angle it definitely looks like something else is on them though lol

For sure! I can post a video of the exhaust difference as well if you would like?

Ahhh makes sense now that I think about it, mine has those too. You just can't see them very well without an overlay!

An in-cabin video of sounds would be wonderful! Thank you!
