Premium only benefits high compression engines where 87 is prone to pre-ignition. An engine that doesn't call for premium gets zero benefit from it. An example of this is putting race stripes on a Yugo and giving it an expensive paint job. It might look pretty, but your not making it even .0001 second faster.Good to know. I still wouldn’t use any fuel below 91 in any of my turbocharged engines. But that’s my opinion.
