This is what I got from the Honda Corporate bulliten

So it looks like the manual will be getting the Honda sensing, without Low-speed Follow, one could speculate that the type R will receive the same treatment.
For 2019, Honda Sensing became standard on the Civic coupe and sedan, but not the Si so I'd guess that the Type R will not be getting Honda Sensing for 2020.

In April 2018, Honda committed to having Honda Sensing on 95% of their vehicles in 2020 with standard Honda Sensing on all 2022 year-model vehicles. I'd guess the Type R and Si will be part of that 5% and won't get Honda Sensing until the 11th generation.

Honda Sensing is standard or available on:

2019 Fit (except LX and Sport manual)
2019 HR-V (except LX and Sport)
2019 Civic sedan and coupe (except Si)
2020 Civic hatchback (2020 Type R hasn't been announced yet)
2019 Accord
2019 CR-V (except LX)
2019 Passport
2020 Pilot
2019 Ridgeline (except RT, Sport, RTL, and RTL-T)
2020 Odyssey (except LX)
2020 Insight
2019 Clarity

The Sensing package is also standard on all the hatchbacks for 2019, too. Don't see why Honda can't/won't add it to their flagship Civic Type R.

More then likely it will be added to Si's AND Type R if you read the link it says it has everything except for adaptive cruise control, and Europe has it with honda sensing, and the spy shots have it with honda sensing left hand drive soooo I would assume it will be added.

I really hope it does. It feels like the Si and type R have been left in the dust in terms of updates recently.

Not sure I like the body colored crossbar in the big fake vents. It almost draws more attention to them.

I like those new wheels though. I'm eager to see the interior. I want to see this 'geometric' design in the Sport.
Some shots of the interior here. It's of the Sport Touring though, wonder how different it is from my 2019.

The accent piece that runs across the middle of the console and dash looks more like brushed aluminum instead of carbon fiber. Other than that, I can't see much of a change.

I don't see a huge difference compared to my 2019 Sport Touring on the interior side. Only the dash trim looks a different from the fake carbon fiber.

Differences spotted:
  1. Rims
  2. Front bumper
  3. Rear Bumper
  4. Dash trim
  5. Maybe headlights (can't tell if they look significantly different, it is supposed to have "wider and longer light beams")
I wish my model had the HomeLink, maybe it can be added on.
Interesting to know if there is actually a better infotainment system.

Yes I like it better than the carbon fiber. I don't know if others notice it on theirs but the fake carbon fiber gets smudged if you run your fingers on it. Kind of looks like its getting faded. Not sure how to clean it.

Perhaps get it wrapped with film that looks like brushed aluminum and skip the cleaning altogether?

where the mpg go?
My guess is that it’s partly from the sound insulation...

From the press release: “All Civic Hatchbacks also benefit from additional sound insulation in the floor, trunk, and front and rear fenders.”

"The Honda-signature "wing" grille crossbar is also updated, and the headlights now feature a sporty blackout treatment."

Anyone know what is meant by this? From looking at the pictures I don't notice any difference between the current black crossbar on the Sport/Sport Touring models.

2020 Sport 6MT would be a nice upgrade from my 2017, but probably not worth the cost. The price has gone up $2k also.

The Jetta GLI Autobahn is tough competition at $26k discounted.

Enjoying my Canadian 2019 Sport Touring 6MT... but do like the updated fake vents (front and rear) and the new rims on the 2020 model year.
