Please correct me if I’m wrong, but the video he shot at Nurburgring shows 2 different type R’s, the yellow one and also a white one (smaller wing and less plastic bits). I’m curious to know what the white one is?
Type S Maybe?

Doesn't make sense to me for Honda to be testing a 2020 on the 'ring as it's the last year of this model. Then, I thought, what if they're thinking of putting a DCT in for the final year?
They need a time in their "back pocket" in case Renault got a good time with the Megane RS Trophy-R last month, or Seat with the Cupra this month - although I suspect that Seat will go after the estate record given the spy shots.

It's all marketing anyway.

Maybe the white car is the type R lite, same engine but no 20” wheels, no giant wing, etc. and tuned down a bit, maybe almost like the same thing Subaru has done with the WRX and WRX STI?

I love that guy! Anyway, I hope those models come out when I’m ready to buy a type r. How long after they announce something do cars start coming in? 90 days?

My guess is the other wing is less drag or downforce to get higher speeds on a fast circuit. That or another option because everyone complains about how it looks... I think it looks pretty cool and unique in the flesh.

I uploaded the pic from the video, this is definitely not an Si, it’s a Type R variant, they’ll position it between the Si and the Type R.

Here’s a couple more snaps of the 2 cars from the video, besides the wing being smaller, the white one has fog lamps, no camo on the roof, no camo on the hood scoop, my guess the white one is the next Type R (basically a small facelift) and the yellow one is a special edition?

My guess is that none of the stuff we saw will be in the final release. I would think they just added these to throw people off just like the camo wrap. I would say it will be the same car with minor fixes/improvements, just like they did with previous models.
