Hey guys, I'm looking for some help with this. I've searched to see if anyone was having problems with oil percent maintaince after flash.

This was an issue I had before in my 8thgen using hondata. And now I'm having the same issue while using ktuner.

I'm at about 2000 miles on my si, and this morning I wanted to check and see where the oil life was at. It shows 100%. I know this isn't right, I was at 80% two weeks ago before I bought the tuner.

So I was wondering if anybody else noticed this, and or is there a fix?

If there's no fix, how will it go when I bring the car in for an oil change to Honda and the car is still showing 100%?

If the ECU codebase changes, which may happen the first time you flash to a tune and when returning to factory if there have been Honda updates, this can occur.

Is this going to throw a flag when I bring it in for service?

Right, figured that much. I guess I'm gonna take my chances then.

With that being said, at what mileage have yall been changing oil? I'm at 2k now. So I'm guessing at around 4?

That really depends on how hard you are on the vehicle. I did my first one early and will likely change every 5K or so, but we beat on it for testing every day.

Tbh, I've been super conservative with this one. I dunno, maybe I'm getting older. Or maybe I'm just taking better care lol.

I did my first oil change at 5.5k miles. Had an odd squeak and a KTuner v2 waiting at home for me... Squeak turned out to be the high pressure fuel pump running on a high ethanol %. I've got some fuel money left over in my budget after switching from a 23/27 mpg car, so that will offset the 5k oil changes I plan on doing.

My oil life changed to 100 after the flash as well. It really doesn't matter because I change my oil every 5k miles anyways.

1. Because I'm old fashion about that
2. With all the buzz about oil dilution, the more often I change the oil, the less likely there will be alot of fuel in the oil and "washing internals"

Dont worry about the oil life number. Just change the oil frequently yourself.

We all got @KTuner so we could party anyways! Theres pros and cons to all mods. (If u consider oil life % changing a con lol)

Lmfaooooo, yea I change my own oil too.
But being that I bought it brand new, I have free maintenance for a year. And I plan on utilizing that. But hey I think I actually have a few technicians at Honda that are friends with some of my acquaintances. So I may give them a holler and see if they can just ignore the 100% lol. But I'm not that concerned about it.

Thanks again for all of the responses.

Ps, I had the same issue with flashpro.

I don't blame you! Long story short I got screwed out of the whole free year maintenance

I never had that, this is my first new car. But I do enjoy the tunes I got. And I already have my downpipe and Cai on the way. So I guess I'm just gonna go with the flow

I think I was at 50% oil life left at around 3000 miles when I first flashed with KTuner. I went in at 5k miles for the first maintenance. Service advisor didn't say anything about the maintenance minder being way higher than 20%
