Anyone notice the black side mirrors? look like a cheap entry level model LX civic.
I thought they were black too but I think it's just a shadow/bad picture of the brochure. It looks body colored with a black bottom like they are now to me.

I would like to assume the headlights were done for better light output reasons and not any kind of aesthetics.

Also, any interior pictures? Curious about the radio volume knob.

I hope to god this is what the 2019 looks like. Further justifies me picking up my '18 :)

If it's an LED projector, at least the output will still be decent and the high-beams would be halogen? Maybe it's a safety thing for oncoming traffic and not being blinded by LED highbeams :dunno:

it could also be honda might release 2-different trims, base and touring? or it could be honda is trying to make more profit by replacing with lesser, no essential parts? Honda can't really jack up the price, so next logical thing to do for better bottom line, is to use cheaper parts? just a guess.

I agree, I have a 18 SI to commute in and the lights are horrible. The Ctr lights have a lot better output and look better but do put off some glare.

If these are the same headlights as the SI, I’m sooooo happy I got an 18 CTR.

I had an 18 SI and I can tell you first hand the headlights on the CTR are a billion times better for both aesthetics and visibility.
I work at a Honda dealer this is legit acc. brouchure

I was the person who shared those pics on the FB group. These are the accessory brochures for the 2019 Models Accessories. I just noticed primarily the headlight differences and the continued lack of Honda Sensing.
When do you think you'll hear about any other changes?

Based on the flyer, here are my thoughts on where Honda might take this:

CTR Track:
  • Lighter
  • Mid range "EX trim" audio (-$500?)
  • Same functional aero
  • Halogen headlights/fogs (-$400?)

CTR Touring:
  • Less aggressive "Si Style" rear spoiler (-$750?)
    • Could make this a factory option like the Evo MR Touring
  • LED headlights/fogs
  • Same premium audio/navigation
  • 19" forged wheels for daily compliance

Would probably satisfy two different demographics who are after this car. Or they could totally screw the pooch and make the 17/18's the most desirable of the 10th Gen CTRs lol.

no, there is no "track" version...touring remains top model:

What if they drop the base MSRP? It would be interesting to see if they make this even more obtainable from a price-point perspective, at least in a base model trim.

Jeff and I were chatting about it briefly. Honda "could" treat this in a similar way to the Evo MR. A track focused version (whatever they call it) would be lighter and possibly drop the adaptive dampers to save cost/weight. The Touring version would be largely "as is" but might consider more consumer friendly options like the optional Si spoiler and smaller wheels that we've seen in testing.

All that said, we've had a couple sources claim that the 2019 will be a near-100% carryover. Few discussions on the subject from TOV:

https://www.vtec.net/forums/one-message?message_id=1353788

I would take all of this with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.

It just doesn't make sense to me for them to work for a cheaper version - the ones they're making are selling like hot cakes for a premium over MSRP.

Perhaps there are issues with sourcing the LED headlights and the R got the short end of the stick?
