@PRL Motorsports
So how will this work on the CVT? Is it worth to spend around 2-2.5K for this turbo kit knowing that the car has a CVT? Can the torque be limited to around 250 while having around 320hp?
also with a CVT hoping to hear good news of possbiilty safe tq but higher hp

You could limit boost down low and keep torque from exceeding 250 ft-lbs and still end up with around 300 hp at the top. While it might be a little dead at the bottom and linear in the top 1/2 of the RPM range... with the CVT, you'd still just lock in at peak power and let your CVT unwind. 250 ft-lbs @ 6500 RPM is right at 310 hp.

Edit @360glitch won this race with ~320 hp to my 310... and a few seconds.

you can make a very large-mouth breather with a larger, later-spooling turbo and don't go over 6k.
you'll lose a bunch of low-end, so it's a trade-off

Well should have a professional tuner do it for you then.

Yep. Run it on a dyno and you'd actually be able to know the exact output through the range. Ask them to run it with low-ish boost for a baseline then use the follow on pulls to dial in how you want to put down the power... stating you want to not exceed X torque value. They oughta be able to adjust the boost targets to meet your needs, and validate it on the Dyno.

I see the kit comes with a re-circ BPV. Safe to assume that we will not be able to have it vent to atmosphere? I thought I read that somewhere originally the kit was going to allow us to have a BOV

Air is being metered the same way as stock, so you would have the same issues here if using a standard BOV.

I’m planning to either go full bolt-on PRL with CVT cooler as well on flex fuel, or Big turbo kit with CVT cooler on 91. Which option do you guys recommend to me?

Want a BOV? Buy MOTEC, pay a tuner to convert to MAP based tuning. Anything can be done ..... and done well and correctly if you are willing to pay for it.

Very true. Only reason I asked is originally I thought this would be an option with the kit. Either way still an awesome kit that I will definitely be getting

V8-levels of horsepower and torque from a tiny 1.5L 4-cylinder engine. Impressive. :)
