Cut off my front grille, just need to sand down the broken trims.
Yeah, I figured that's exactly what it was there for. I doubt I end up doing it, but did want to see what it looks like without it.This may be obvious, but in case it is not, the grill helps protect the intercooler from damage from road debris. While it's nice to have a clear view of it, it is probably best left "shielded". I know that some are willing to take the risk but I thought it was worth mentioning.
I wanna say it does hold the lower lip more rigidly. My lower lip does feel more loose than before, but nothing over the board. Just a tad. This may be obvious, but in case it is not, the grill helps protect the intercooler from damage from road debris. That's actually another concern I had about doing it.I wanna say it does hold the lower lip more rigidly. My lower lip does feel more loose than before, but nothing over the board. Just a tad.
I seen photos from another member that did the lower grill delete. And yes it did completely mess up the lower lip, bent the hell out of it at high speeds. If anything... I’d get a lower splitter and add rods in to complete the look.I wanna say it does hold the lower lip more rigidly. My lower lip does feel more loose than before, but nothing over the board. After cutting off the lower grill, go old school rice and put up a hardware store gutter guard for the "mesh" look. lol
