I 1st bought the sedan for my wife and I was planning to get the new fit. I wanted to have a different car then hers. However, when time came, I couldn't resist the hatchback.

According to the he experts, the proper way to wash the car is the 2-bucket wash with grit guard. One bucket for soap water and the 2nd bucket to rinse. Also, microfibre wash mitt is recommended. Sponge is no good because small particles can be trapped and they may scratch the car.

Some hard core detailers will even use a air blower to dry the car. The drying cloth may cause swirls.
Im no expert, but have been doing a lot of washing and drying research since I bought my new civic.
the swirl comes from washing improperly, using a swirling motion with a sponge, and pressing down too hard. They say the proper way is to go extremely lightly back and forth in a straight line with a microfiber wash mitt' , and consistently wash off the mitt using the 2 bucket system. when drying, yes some use the blow dryer, but if you opt for towel to use microfiber and again go in straight lines and barely press down, letting the towel do all the work.
hope that helps

She's Beautiful!
But don't forget to hide your plates in the pictures!!
Why ? I never understood what an average person would do with a plate #. You see them every day. In my country, only police, insurance companies and certain municipal enforcement agencies have access to plate information

This, minus the blow driver. This will introduce dirt back onto paint from cracks and crevices that has dirt still in it. 22 + years detailing talking :)

Freshly washed, with the winter rims

700km old. OEM fogs will be installed this week.

Always been an Honda Fanboy and this car is the best purchase ever! I think this is my 31st car and by far, my favorite daily drive!
