No the issue was it was pulling a CEL so they had to go back to the drawing board on the catted version.
I believe what he was trying to say is that by the time they found a cat that did not cause a CEL they were back to being too restricted again.

If that is the case, then we can never have an aftermarket downpipe with high flow cat on this car?

Maybe it's possible to remove the 2nd lambda sensor in the software. I know they can do this on a VW, even with the MAF sensor.

you can disable the catalyst efficiency code in ktuner but not in hondata as far as I know and I heard they aren't ever planning on offering that option.

Have you guys done any r&d on a high flow cat to work with this car?
From experience having a cat so close to the turbo is generally a bad idea. The extreme temperature can quickly melt down a high flow cat if the tune is just a bit off. We are considering putting a high flow cat on the axle back where temperatures aren't as high.

When/If I get my hands on the catless version I'll do a review for y'all.I had the catted version on my 12 SI and catted version on my current 16 Accord Sport.Quality was top notch.

@RV6 are you taking deposits yet??
No deposits we will be releasing these for immediate sale. I have just put 150 miles on the downpipe no check engine light. We have 2 Honda race teams testing this part for us as well.

We are currently looking for people to do install guides, reviews and post videos and pictures. Contact us if interested.

Official release will be soon.

That's a very nice touch to see that you can use the OEM CAT Heatshield with your down pipe! Very nice attention to detail feature there that a lot of people will appreciate

Is that stock heat shield mounting locations that I see?
Yes Sir, since the intake passes right over the downpipe. We figured it would be a good way to keep temps down.

Yes, we haven't touched the ECU yet. This way race cars can maintain the CEL as a diagnostic/warning aide.
