GHT welding Santa Fe SpringsI had my friend Ben in Long Beach help me start the modification to the planted seat bracket.
The front legs needed to be heated and bent to match the angle of the floor. We used a vice for that.
Next, we cut the welds on one of the front legs with a grinder because the spacing needed to be widened between the legs to match the threaded holes in the floor.
We mocked it up as you see below.
Next step is to cut the back legs and reposition them to match the threaded holes in the floor.
So anyone in the SoCal area know a shop willing to weld the three legs?
What did you cut the bump stops too? and do we have to do it once lowered?Labor was $350. I also bought a 3 year unlimited alignment package which added another $100.
I had to keep an eye on the installer, he forgot to cut the bump stops and I had to remind him about it.
It instructs how much to cut in the provided instructions. I think it was around 15-20mm to trim from the bottom. What did you cut the bump stops too? and do we have to do it once lowered?
