I bought the fortune auto 500 series coilovers with the hyperco front spring upgrade in April, both 8k spring rates front and back. took 6 weeks to arrive. Had them installed for about a month now.

The initial quality is very nice, all parts look nicely machined. The front coilovers are simple to adjust dampening, open hood and turn knob, same with front camber adjustment. The front wheel must be removed to adjust height and preload which can be done separate from each other. The rear wheel needs to be removed to adjust height and dampening, the dampening knob is at the top of the shock shaft at the upper mount, can easily be reached and adjusted. The rear height adjustment takes a few additional steps, I found the easiest way is to remove the lower control arm to spindle nut then lower the arms together and pop the springs out, adjust height and reinstall. It is very easy just takes more time. The ride quality is very good, I have been messing with dampening to find the best for street use. I found 16 out of 24 for front and rear feel firm but not too harsh. The ride is actually alot better than I was expecting before installation. I like that they are made on the east coast and can be sent out for rebuilding if needed and they have a 5 year warranty which is more than most of the coilovers available. They were about 1600 with the spring upgrade but I think it is well worth it.

So far exceeded my expectations, I hope to get to English town raceway park for a track day this summer but it been hard to find the time. There is still adjustmenteft to go stiffer if needed for the track.

So I had a little hiccup, the front shock inserts went bad and started making all kinds of racket. Fortune customer service was very helpful with trouble shooting and after narrowing down to the shock inserts they were quick to send me out a replacement set. I got to install the new front shocks at the same time I decided to upgrade the front springs to swift 10k. At last peace, the noise is totally gone, the new springs fell great. I fell in love with these coilovers all over again. When I asked why this could happen fortune said it could have been the shim stack was wrong or something could have come loose inside the shock. I really hope I don't have to go through this again, will still recommend these coilovers I just hope this was a one off issue.

Your rear spring needs to flipped. Adjustment rings should be at the top. You reuse the rubber from the stock spring it locks it in the lower control arm.

I had Fortune's 500's in my Si. They made all sorts of sounds over bumps like squeaks and stuff. Ended up trading the SI in for an R so never got to see that issue through but good review man.

Thanks! Up until last weekend my front shocks were making so much noise it was killing me. But since the new shocks they have been perfect. Did you part out your Si or trade it in with all the mods Installed?

Ya it was my front driver side that made the noise. I did not part it out, traded it in with everything on it although I do have a couple parts left that were not on the car.

Was just curious, putting a car back to stock would be a pain in the ass.

Ya it really would be. I was FBO completely. Legit FBO. W1 turbo, the whole 9. Dealer wanted it completely as it was.
That's good to know
