I have a problem and I want to know how best to handle it. I received a texting while driving ticket in another state GA. I live in MD i want to keep my insurance cost as low as possible. I know in GA phone while driving is a fine and 1 point on the license. A point on a license could affect your insurance by over $400 + on your 6 month premium and it sticks with you for like 6 to 10 years i heard.
Since i received the violation out of state..and i don't want to go all the way back to GA to fight it. should i pay the fine and the point wont count because I live out of state? or do i have to fight it in court?
Anybody ever had any violation out of state and had to fight it to not get points? Need some advice
