Vehicle: 2018 Honda Civic RS

Total tuned time: 2 days

Tuned miles driven: 100km

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner 1.2

Tunes used: stage 2 base map, currently on TSP stage 1 non-si

Fuel used: 98RON fuel

Additional related mods: Mishimoto intake, now waiting for Mishimoto intercooler

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: standard daily driving with occasional bursts of speed.

Tuning experience notes: the tunes definitely make the car feel more alive. The TSP tunes feel so much more smooth compared to the base KTuner maps. Only issues I ran into was that the CEL was on for the first 2 drives after flashing but turned off afterwards. Did not find any error codes so I assume it was just the car clearing some codes by itself.
Follow-up on previous post as I changed flashes

Total tuned time: ~1.5 months

Tuned miles driven: ~1500km (TSP stage 1), 20km (Phearable 1.5R)

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner 1.2, tunerview app via Honda Hack

Tunes used: stage 2 base map, TSP stage 1 non-si, NOW: Phearable 1.5 race non-si

Fuel used: 98RON fuel

Additional related mods: Mishimoto intake, now waiting for Mishimoto intercooler

Problems/issues: I noted when running the TSP stage 1 tune, my LTFT were around -8%. Currently on the Phearable tune it's -4%. My intake seems like it's not leaking and on properly. Will have to monitor it for longer. Otherwise knock is perfect at 0.49

Driving style: standard daily driving with occasional bursts of speed.

Tuning experience notes: TSP stomps on stock tune, but Phearable is on another level. It's so much more refined and feels a lot more potent down low compared to the TSP tune. Car just feels so much more linear when throttle is applied. Don't regret changing to Phearable at all.

Update:

Vehicle: 2021 Civic Sport CVT

Total tuned time: almost 4 months

Tuned miles driven: about 6800 now.

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1/Phearable 1.5, 1.5R

Fuel used: 92 is the highest here

Additional related mods: PRL Stage 1 intake, Rev9 intercooler

Problems/issues: K.control seems to rise from 0.45 to 0.70 . Sounds like it's normal, but what do I know

Driving style: Grandma to save gas, for now. Gas is expensive, y'know?

Tuning experience notes: I am done with my quarantine and good timing since I got the Phearable 1.5R tune same time as my release. Driving the 1.5R seems like a small bump upgrade from 1.5 . In the low RPM... I prefer TSP's then 1.5, then 1.5R. feels like I am driving stock on 1.5R. the tune shines when I am on map 2, econ off and on sport mode and boy this car becomes a rice rocket. I was only driving this tune for like 50 miles. I can't tell the full potential until I drive it thousands of miles.
Update:

Vehicle: 2021 Civic Sport CVT

Total tuned time: almost 5 months

Tuned miles driven: about 7000 now.

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1/Phearable 1.5, 1.5R

Fuel used: 92 is the highest here

Additional related mods: PRL Stage 1 intake, Rev9 intercooler

Problems/issues: K.control still seems to rise after switching back to TSP.

Driving style: Grandma to save gas, for now. Gas is expensive, y'know?

Tuning experience notes: Went back to TSP after seeing high knock on 1.5R. Even with 92 Shell V-powered gas still got me to .7X-.8X k.control. So I did spark plugs change and gapped it. It felt a little better and k.control seems to stay at .5X-.6X. Will observe more.

The US government has a locator for flex fuel stations.

https://afdc.energy.gov/stations/#/find/nearest

In my case, I live in North Central Maryland. Maryland has two major metro areas (Baltimore and D.C.) and yet there are only like 9 public E85 stations statewide. The closest to me is 30 miles away.
Just checked and yeah. We have 10 stations in the valley. And of course I live right in the big enpty area. I wonder if it has something to do with Chandler/Gilbert/Mesa as it seems like those cities dont have any.

Appreciate the update but you're missing a key part of updates for the thread. Could you add your additional miles driven since your last post? Thanks man.

Alright I have done about 1000kms on the phearable 1.5 tune. Still no issues at all. Clutch is holding up thanks to BBG. After adjusting how heavy my foot is, I am seeing better gas mileage vs stock. Just added prl short ram race maf intake so will update again in another 1000kms. With the mods done to the car I will enjoy her for another 3 years before considering getting rid of her, unless the Integra comes in 6 speed and typeS/R. Thanks GT Man for this thread.
I have noticed something interesting. My LTFT1 climbs to -14 at highest on a hot humid day in traffic. I ran the ac since that gets the fans going and the LTFT1 dropped to -7 to -5. stft to 0 whereas with the ac off the stft fluctuates -7 to -16. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve been doing this for a day now and it seems to work in bringing the LTFT1 down to normal level. I don’t really use the ac but I guess now I’ll be using it more

That's interesting. It's a known fact that our cars run richer in really hot, humid weather but I didn't realize that turning A/C on stabilizes knock control a bit.

And for sure all your numbers were based on similar traffic? The reason I ask is that in addition to hot, humid weather, a lot of idling will produce more negative fuel trim numbers.

Yes sir. Bumper to bumper city traffic so yeah idling similar to my drive yesterday when I messaged you. I even turned the ac off and saw LTFT1 climb to -10 and then turned the ac on and saw and immediate drop literally every 1-2 minute it dropped a percentage down

Total tuned time: 1 day

Tuned miles driven: 100

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: KTuner stage 1

Fuel used: Chevron 91 (can’t get 93 at the elevation I’m at)

Additional related mods: None

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Kinda speedy with a heavy foot from time to time

Tuning experience notes: I didn’t even know what a KTuner was a couple days ago.
UPDATE:
Vehicle: 2021 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport/ Same

Total tuned time: 1 day/ A little over 2 weeks

Tuned miles driven: 100/ 1000

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: KTuner stage 1/ Phearable Stage 1.5 Non-SI

Fuel used: Chevron 91 (can’t get 93 at the elevation I’m at)/ Now I try to stick to mostly Costco 91 and if I can’t get to Costco then I’ll get Shell 91.

Additional related mods: None/ None

Problems/issues: None/ Before I tuned, I money shifted and I had the P0219 Code, after tuning the code disappeared ??‍♂

Driving style: Kinda speedy with a heavy foot from time to time/ I’ve been driving very conservatively with probably 1-2 pulls a day, and my MPG on Phearable 1.5 Non-Si Map 3 is at 41.5 MPG Highway.

Tuning experience notes: I didn’t even know what a KTuner was a couple days ago./ I still don’t know anything about tuning. I just load OTS tunes onto my KTuner but I’m very satisfied with Phearable 1.5 Non-SI tune.

Thank YOU. I mean, I started the thread and keep it updated, sure, but you guys adding your cars make it work.

I just wish we'd get more than 5% of tuned CivicX owners here adding their cars to the thread. But, I can't force people to contribute if they're not interested in helping the community learn more about tuning and tuning reliability. I'm still convinced the idea of this thread is good (having all this tuning info in one thread) even with the low participation.

Hopefully, moving forward, we can get a higher percentage of tuned owners onboard.

Vehicle: 2016 Civic EX-L sedan

Total tuned time: 14 months

Tuned miles driven: 10,000+

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner v1.2

Tunes used: KTuner Dual Starter 21 w/aggressive quick adjustments. Just updated my ECU to get full support. Looking at Phearable 1.5 down the road.

Fuel used: Shell 91, contemplating mixing in 1 gal of ethanol to get 93

Additional related mods: None

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: 80mph on freeway, rarely go more than that unless I know there are no cops around.

Tuning experience notes: This is my first time tuning and my first car so I am all about being cautious, but experimental with the car. Not an issue since I have CA fuel, but I get jealous of the knock control numbers everyone gets compared to mine. Shoutout to @gtman for this thread and hard work. I am a long time lurker, but not much of a poster.

Thanks for posting in the thread. We're lurker friendly!

BTW, if you do switch to the Phearable 1.5 (amazing tune), I definitely recommend adding a gallon of E85 to your Cali 91.
