The first aftermarket air intake for the 10th gen Civic 1.5L turbo models has been released by Injen. The claimed gains are +29 HP and +25 FT-LB torque at peak power. These are seriously impressive numbers if accurate! Regular 87 octane gas was used on all dyno runs.
See the dyno charts and popular discussion thread inside.
Check out this 1/8 mile drag strip track battle between a Civic X and a 9th gen Si.
In Sport mode, the Civic X touring ran a 10.037 @ 71.19 mph compared to the 9th gen Si's 10.266 @ 69.93 mph. In Economy mode, the Civic X still outran the 9th gen Si -- 10.224 @ 70mph vs 10.292 @ 69mph.

The 2016 Civic for the Thailand market has been announced and as you can see here it comes equipped with some cosmetic goodies that do not come standard on North American Civics.
The front grille bar is finished in gloss black and it also comes with a different trunk spoiler, more aggressive than the factory options (wing spoiler and decklid spoiler) we have available in N. America. Check out some photos inside.
At the 2016 Civic Coupe media launch event in San Diego a few weeks ago, we showed you the first pictures of the new Civic X coupe in all the trims and colors being offered when the vehicle becomes available next month.
There's nothing like seeing the car in motion however, so here is our walkaround video of the exterior and interior of the new Civic Coupes at its US press launch.
The 2016 Honda Civic has been awarded 2016 Canadian Car of the Year, adding another notch in its belt after it was named the 2016 North American Car of the Year last month.
The announcement was made Thursday morning ahead of the opening of the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, and the Civic was named the winner of the New Small Car category.
The other two finalists in the car category were the Volkswagen Golf R and the Volkswagen Golf Sportwagon.
Yesterday, Honda released a dark teaser image of the Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype which will debut at next month's Geneva Auto Show. As usual with dark teaser images, more details can be found in the shadows. A CivicX member reveals the rest of the back end details in these images, gives it an exciting color and drops the hatchback in a dramatic setting. What do you think now that you've seen more of the design?
Honda UK has announced that (and posted this teaser image of) the Civic Hatchback Prototype will be shown to the world at the Geneva Auto Show! The show kicks off on March 1, so it won't be long now.
Until now, the only glimpse we've had of the all new Civic hatchback has been in Type R form, a prototype of which has previously been spied. Like this Civic Type R prototype, the new Civic hatchback will only come in a 5 door version.
Red + black accents pairing always has the potential to look great, and this 2016 Civic EX pulls it off nicely. To provide a nice contrast against the red color, this CivicX member has added black 18" wheels, painted the calipers, and plastidipped the factory wing spoiler, window trim and front grille bar.
Honda Financial Services has announced a special APR program for select new Honda models, including the 2016 Civic. If you qualify, you may take advantage of 1.99% interest rate for a 24-60 month financing period. See the details and fine print inside.

We had an opportunity to drive an R&D mule 2016 Civic sedan which had its 1.5L turbo engine paired to a 6MT manual transmission. Currently, the manual transmission is only available with a 2.0L engine.
There's a cool detail in the camouflage tape if you look close enough.
CivicX members have discovered an ongoing engine recall which appears to be causing the stop sale on some 2016 Civic models. The 'Piston Clip / Ring' recall affects both sold & unsold cars, but only a certain limited range of VINs.
The issue appears to be with the piston pin snap ring on some 2016 Civic engines. You can check whether issue applies to your 2016 Civic by calling 888-234-2138 (have your VIN # ready). Read the official Honda memo and more details inside..
