xm radio isn't working

I called Sirius XM and transferred my account to my new '16 civic last night. All is good there and should also have 3 month all access subscription for new Honda purchase. However, when I select Sirius XM for my source, I get the on-screen message "check tuner". When I purchased my '13 Accord, I literally got in the car and the XM radio was working, so is this a problem or am I overlooking something? I searched online and see anything from fuse issue to faulty tuner unit that can cause the "check tuner" message.

Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions? I set up a service appointment at the dealer, but the guy on the phone was clueless and had no recommendations for me to try.
