I have no idea when it comes to s2000. I was just browsing through used car listing for s2000 and they are still going for alot of money. School me on this, oh Honda fans!

Because many people believe it's a better car than it really is.

There's one that's shows up from time to time near my house and I always find myself acting like a teenager swooning after the hottest girl in school...

It's a very popular car on the track for good reasons. I know alot of instructors who end up getting a s2k. Rwd, lightweight, incredible reliable engine. Tons of modding potential. Cheap consumables. It's hard to find a similar car.

they are amazing cars... they are going up in value every day. good, low milage, clean stock ones pull a premium. it was a limited run car. not many were made, some where in the neighborhood of 50-60k total over the course of 10 years....to put that in perspective since just october 2015 over 275,000 civics have been sold. supply and demand.

if your a car enthusiest they are a true drivers car, they are very raw feeling while driving without all the electrical crap getting in the way. if you frequently find yourself at the local autox or hpde(road racing) events then you already know how capable the car is in stock form. if you like to drive its a fantastic car. if you just wanna cruise to the beach top down you likely better with another roadster like a z3/z4.

i currently own a 2003 s2k that is may track rat. i used to race a boosted eg civic but the frequent repairs at the track got tiring, i was able to drive a stock s2k a few seconds faster right out the gate, and maintain that awesome honda reliability. even now its really fast around the track with almost no mods at all. intake and exhaust is all it has for power upgrades. set of lowering springs and different rear swaybar for suspension. hawk dtc70 brake pad, ss lines, pmu fluid otherwise stock brakes. obviously safety was addressed with a harddog rollbar, 5point harnesses and bucket seats. add some aero with a wing n splitter and you have a mostly stock vehicle that tears up the track

Cut from the same cloth as the NSX. Ultimately can't keep up with the competition, but like the Scion FRS, it'd be difficult to find a more 'pure' driving experience.

Plus, you could put about a hundred gran' into it, and be just like Johnny Tran!

I've seen some ones that have hardly any miles on and in mint condition $20,000-$24,000..Like new..I ended up buying the Z3 roadster in 2002 instead..Only cuz I sucked at driving a MT then..not that I'm any better now..Also, Bimmer offered Z3's in auto..Lol..That car was so fun..Would love if brought back S2000 because back then hardly any 2 seaters that where somewhat affordable..350Z didn't come out until 2003...Anyhoo I'm rambling..Lol:p

Wow, that is ricey as hell. They destroyed such a nice car to make that monstrosity.

I had a deposit down for a year on an s2000 before they came out. We has a pre-negotiated deal at $1k over MSRP. My dealer completely screwed over me and everyone else who put down deposits by marking the cars up from $32k to over $40k. Almost no one payed it and they had several sit on the lot for the whole year before they found suckers to pay. They are/were great cars for the price and there is nothing like them, but they were not worth $40k at the time, you could get an M coupe or M roadster for that.

If that's your car, I think you know my friend Scott. I definitely would buy an S2000 if I ever sell my WRX. Amazing cars.
