When the first new car to replace oil?
Sponsored
I think its supposed to take into account operating temps, RPMs, mileage driven, and some other stuff too - Honda doesn't make it explicitly clear what factors are used to calculate oil life.I spoke with the dealer and they said the maintenance minder for oil takes into account usage and severity not just mileage. Is this true? The percentage appears to be pretty who aligned with mileage when I know many miles have been in heavy traffic.
You're weird!I am weird most would say on this forum because I changed mine @ 40% life
FWIW I've noticed tinges of black after like 2k miles of 75% highway driving. Not completely dark, but like a little bit around the edge of the tip (giggity)I like to go by the colour of my oil lol, I'm at 50% again and it's looking pretty black already..
I'm at 30% at 9,000 km. About 2/3 highway, 1/3 city driving. Service manager said Honda recommends changing the oil according to the maintenance minder, or at the 1-year mark, whichever comes first.I am at 50% oil life with 11200 km, I do a lot of highway driving. I have been told that I can go 15000 km without an oil change.
Personally speaking here, but I would never go 15,000 km on one oil change. Thats just asking for trouble for your engine in the long term.I am at 50% oil life with 11200 km, I do a lot of highway driving. I have been told that I can go 15000 km without an oil change.
