Yes, it's wrong
20% should be based on the price excl tax.
To go back, divide the price incl tax by 1.2

If it's over 35k here in the u.s. it's gonna be a hard sell. The difference between here and the UK is there everything's in the price making it seem higher. Here everything is base price then you get screwed out of 2k more on dealer add ons and fees then the governments share then plates.. then...then...then.. they end up tacking on about 6k more before you own it. I feel our way of car buying is a lot more convoluted and not as straight up as UK.

I've said it before and I will say it again.

$32k, it's a home run.
$35k, it will capture the Honda enthusiast but likely won't be winning anyone over. The RS and the STI can be had for a couple more grand.
$37k, it will sit on lots.

This is the only instance that my wife will agree with me, "the smaller the better". ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

UK price likely includes the tax.

US should see pricing today or tomorrow, expecting $34k.
dood I hope we get a price and a date...of course I've been hoping for these things since 2012 - more seriously since the CivicX concept and production versions were unveiled.

Whaaat? Where? Do you reckon the embargo date coincides with purchase date?
I'm hoping some forum members would be taking delivery of their Type R before the 19th no?
I can't believe that Honda would hold the Type R's till after the press gets to drive it...
Usually the press gets it the same time they go on sale in the dealers?

That is the go date, yes. The day you should be able to drive the streets of the fruited plain.
Interesting. I hope so!! That means they'll be on their way to the dealers slightly before that...meaning they'll either be in showrooms or hiding in back lots perhaps a week or two before. Time to start stalking Honda lots again!!!

Thinking alike. It seems they'll be on lots slightly before the on sale date. Maybe?

It should be...I remember driving my Mini Cooper in 2002 for couple of weeks before I saw it on Motorweek...
Same with a Porsche 918; I saw one in the financial district of SF a week before I watch it on Motorweek...

Just something that I've noticed...
