This video explains why the EU gets 316 HP and USA gets 306. TL;DW high grade fuel availability.

Sooo...if we put in higher octane gas, the ECU should detect and compensate? With more power?

I believe so, in one of Honda pro Jason’s videos he states that by putting higher octane in our car would be able to detect it and give us more power. I can’t find the video tho

Its in his "this is how honda builds the new civic type R" video around 14:40 he talks to the manufacturing operations manager and he mentions it.

Well lets say we filled up on 93 octane and wanted the extra power. How much octane booster liquid would we need to use?

If you fill in fuel with more octane than required you nearly won't get some more power from the OEM ECU, but the comsumption will decrease slightly. If you tune your ECU to more octane you will get more power but you won't be able to fill in fuel with lower octane because it would start knocking.
