Ahhh...i know the member in the other forum hates Google, but basically when it's colder than f**k outside and you want to be nice to your your car you gotta plug it in. -15, -20 C is when you want to plug it in.

I have one on my Si but pretty much park in the garage over night in winter so I don't use it much.
When using it, I'd be able to get heat out of the vent within 1/2 mile down to maybe 15F
