I know this isn't the audio section but I want the biggest audience for it at the moment.

Do you have, or did you have (before fixing it), bad rattles?

Sorry, I searched and I did not see a poll posted by me asking about the subwoofer rattle. So didn't help. Thanks anyway!

:p I was just being little facetious but it seems the local dealer has never seen this problem but I am curious how widespread it is.

Ahhh. It's definitely bad design then. If I stick something in between the brake light and the rear window the rattle isn't nearly as bad.

I actually didn't put anything between the window and the deck. The rattle is gone for me unless I use a woofer test track or turn the volume above 30.

Edit:
My bass setting is 5 pts above center, my sub is 4pts above center.

I usually listen to my radio around 35-40 with a lot of bass so it's definitely noticeable.

I definitely have it, but its not overly bothersome. I'll dynamat it one day when I don't feel lazy.

What's the max, isn't it 40? I rarely have mine above 15 and I'm straight.

Yeah max is 40. I guess I like music loud. It doesn't ever seem that loud to me.

I have my subwoofer and bass settings right in the middle, the default levels, and I hear rattling from the back at volume levels as low as 12-14 when listening to songs with decent bass (like anything by Chromeo) . I'd like to have the dealer fix it so that I don't have to take apart the rear deck to fix it myself, but they've avoided doing anything about it the last two times I was there. Plus it doesn't sound like the dealer fixes have been very good so far according to other posts here.

Does anyone know if the dealership's Honda tech support line has a standard solution they're recommending for this yet?

They do not. They acted like I was the first person to report the problem.
