most good gas is already a blend in the 10% range. Moving it up to 20-30% isnt going to hurt. You still have 70% regular gas running through the system keeping it running like normal. How much will using the blend effect reliability of the vehicle?
How much power are you pulling your CVT with E85 now?most good gas is already a blend in the 10% range. Moving it up to 20-30% isnt going to hurt. You still have 70% regular gas running through the system keeping it running like normal.
No dyno yet and my IATs were holding me back but Vit posted 250hp 250 tq could be had with the blend on cvt. With that custom tune he can protect my cvt down low and still make powerHow much power are you pulling your CVT with E85 now?
250tq stable on the CVT is a feat, IMO.No dyno yet and my IATs were holding me back but Vit posted 250hp 250 tq could be had with the blend on cvt. With that custom tune he can protect my cvt down low and still make power
not sure what Im at exactly, but let me tell you, from a stop its nothing special but once its rolling above 4000 rpm, my god, its like the devil unleashed and the thing flies too 100 mph so easy.250tq stable on the CVT is a feat, IMO.
Yeah my cvt hauls ass on the interstate, but my Si has so much low end tq that the cvt is missing. They are both quick in their own ways.not sure what Im at exactly, but let me tell you, from a stop its nothing special but once its rolling above 4000 rpm, my god, its like the devil unleashed and the thing flies too 100 mph so easy.
I was under the assumption that any decent gas, ie chevron, shell etc was using up to 10% ethanol in their fuels now. Im in texas and everything says up to 10%. So yeah, im on 93 up to 10% blending with 2.5 gallons of e85.Just a curious question, on these mixes are you using e10 91-93oct or ethanol free 91/93? (I'm in Nebraska and finding any gas w/o Ethanol is a struggle.
No reason to spend the extra if you are just going to add e85. Start with the e10.Just a curious question, on these mixes are you using e10 91-93oct or ethanol free 91/93?. I'm in Nebraska and finding any gas w/o Ethanol is a struggle.
I've seen places near the dunes in Oregon that sell ethanol free gas. My father in law pays over 4 bucks a gallon for it which makes me laugh because he wants no ethanol and I basically run 50/50 in my quad because I want a lot of ethanol... And I pay less for the e85 and much less for for 92 e10.I was under the assumption that any decent gas, ie chevron, shell etc was using up to 10% ethanol in their fuels now. Im in texas and everything says up to 10%. So yeah, im on 93 up to 10% blending with 2.5 gallons of e85.
I did notice lately that the QT's around me now have e15 with the blue pump handle.
Yea so it would be a blend of ignite red + 94 pumpYou mean blending up an e25 out of those or just running them straight? I don't think there's any benefit to that much at this point and only the possible drawbacks of running mostly ethanol.
Yeah rolling starts this thing is nutsnot sure what Im at exactly, but let me tell you, from a stop its nothing special but once its rolling above 4000 rpm, my god, its like the devil unleashed and the thing flies too 100 mph so easy.
