Is your front pipe compatible with rv6's downpipe?

We have not found a defouler that we can confidently recommend. We will leave this up to the end user.
I noticed that the PRL Downpipe cannot use the factory heat shield. Was there a particular reason why it was determined that this wasn't needed, or is this a disadvantage that I should consider in comparing this to the RV6?

Thanks in advance for the info.

The idea of a heatshield is great, but we decided against it for a few reasons:
  • We didn't want to sacriface performance. Our design utilizes the the least restrictive bend possible, which doesn't allow room for the factory heatshield.
  • Price-point. We worried that a cast design would increase the cost of raw materials, in turn driving up the sale price. We didn't want to scare away anybody.
  • We didn't find a heatshield necessary. Our car's IATs are phenomenal. With that being said, there hasn't shown to be any heat-related issues in any testing.

Yes, it is!
I'm not trying to sway anybody either way really but depending on if you have/haven't bought the rv6 DP yet and/or HAVE to have the rest of the system now that's probably exactly what this post will do.

If you have the RV6 DP and run the PRL front pipe you will be going 3" to 2.5"(or whatever the little elbow necks down to, I think it's 2.5) at the flange then back to 3" for the remainder of the pipe. The only way to stay true 3" all the way through right now would be the PRL combo or the RV6 combo which hasn't had all parts released yet. I'm hoping the front pipe that starts at the 3" V band on the DP is released soon but I don't think it's even been hinted at
