So my ambient air temperature was
Displaying properly before I washed my car. Ever since washing it, it's been off like 10 degrees...I thought maybe it got wet but it's been 3 days now and it's still reading incorrectly.

I tried adjusting it within the settings to offset it but it only fixes it for that moment, because he next day I turn the car on and it reads incorrectly again.

Any ideas??

Did you use high pressure to rinse, especially under hood or underbody? Sounds like you've gotten water into the sensor or connector - it's possibly corroded or damaged.
Didn't know you could adjust +-10 degrees, manual says +-5.

Same issue here, especially after car wash. Fixes itself a few hours later..

It's been a couple days. It seems to be reading closer to accurate give or take a couple degrees.

If you're really worried about it take it in for service.

I dont think the sensor is going to be 100% accurate. I think if its in the +5*/-5* range, its acceptable.

As for being 10* off, does it go into the range of +-5* when you drive around for a bit ?

It seems to be okay now. It's only off by 2 degrees.

Confused - it was a 100 and yours stayed at 93! What was the outside temp during the drive? BTW it can take several minutes for the sensor to read the ambient temperature correctly even when it's working correctly.

out side temp was actually over 100, dash temp gauge stuck at 93. did not budge during a short drive. on a hundred degree day the cars temp gauge usually reads higher than the actual temp by alot. so it was strange to see it so far below the actual temp. and it stayed there

Just happened to me too. Over 110 today and temp has been off by a lot last 2 days. Yesterday stuck at 99 and didn’t budge. Wonder if the sensor gets wonky over time. They’re about $7 to replace. May just swap it out next time I have the bumper off
