You will feel the two tabs on the plastic insert inside the boot. Mine were positioned front and back (not side to side). Squeeze them together really good then just tug down.

Oh wow! It's actually a lot smaller than I was thinking (looks slightly bigger than original).

Definitely! The leather wrapped part on the original feels so cheap. I feel like it's all plastic underneath. Post pics when you get the short shifter! I'm very interested in that as well.

Finally 3rd time being the charm, got a bodyshop to install my front lip that I had painted black. 2 hondas wouldn't do it.

Did you paint yourself? If so what did you use? I just ordered mine here at work yesterday along with the side skirts. Debating if I want to paint it first or install in red and see how I like it.

It looks good. I think I may try it red and see how I like it. Might look good if I add the red emblems as well.
