I have gotten 600 miles on a single tank of gas with my '13 Civic. I wonder if that's even possible with '16 Civic since they shrunk the size of the gas tank.

Not likely. The '16 Civic gas tank is 12.4 gallons, so even at 42 mpg (if you are able to get that), the most you could go is 520 miles.

BTW, to answer the question, I'm averaging 29.8 mpg combined City/Hwy - 40/60

Lifetime per the trip computer I'd 37.8. Now that it's warming up, my tanks are averaging upper 30s to low 40s.

43 mpg? Nice!!

Since orig purch 12/3/15, mine was averaging 28.85 combined (about 1/2-1/2) per the "Road Trip" app, about the same per the car's calculations. This is with very conservative driving and in Eco mode.

We'll see how that goes going forward.

Hi
Try with ECO mode off for few tanks. Many people including me have seen that it helped them to gain some mpg....

From what I've read, and my own experience included, Eco mode has led to lower MPG. You're prodding the pedal longer to get the power you want.

Yup.. have tried that this past month. No visible improvement, slightly lower but not much. It's at least a more enjoyable ride with ECO mode off. :)

3 fillups since purchase, I'm averaging 33 MPG on 40/60 city/highway.

Not complaining, and hopefully it goes up as I drive more.

I tried Eco mode for a short while and decided never to use it again lol

On my first full tank that I've been able to fully focus on mpg and I am at 39.2 after 304 miles. No eco mode - haven't tried that yet. This is probably 60/40 interstate to city, respectively - which with I am really impressed. I think I can get that average up to 40.0 by the end of this tank, which looks like I've got at least 100 miles left on it.

Caveat though is that this is only after a very focused up-shifting right at 2,000 rpms (I'm in a manual), real gentle acceleration, foot of the throttle or throwing it in neutral on downhills and when stops are ahead, and watching the mpg meter like a hawk.

I feel pretty confident that I could easily get upper 40s mpg on an interstate trip, probably even 50mpg.

My first tank was 39.6MPG. I was getting ~47 for the first ~200, but decided to do lyft, which resulted in 75-80mph highway driving, along with picking people up from an event, so my mpg tanked really, really hard over the last 200 miles of the tank.
