Hello All,
I really like the idea of having hidden exhaust. I've been looking for different muffler ideas. I stumpled across the Megan Racing M-FG 2.5" Universal Black Muffler: Curved Down Tip. I was thinking of deleting the resonator then hidding this muffler somewhere along the undercarriage. The tip points down. I've done this on trucks that I have owned and one I still own. Where do you think would be the best place for the muffler? I was thinking going this route could also minimize bends. Has anyone hear how this, or Megan Racing mufflers, sound?? Thanks for the imput!

Does anyone know the stock muffler dimensions on a 1.5L? I'm wondering if this muffler would fit in it's place. If i were to do a single muffler out one side should I go 2.5" or 3.0"??

I wonder if single would be too loud? Maybe dual...the muffler is not that large. I don't want loud.

Also like hidden exhausts, it drives me nuts how quiet the stock exhaust is... would love to see some aftermarket stuff become available.

I'm going to order two of these mufflers soon. I'll keep you posted on how it sounds!

Had my custom 3" piping mated to J's Racing exhaust. Had the muffler shop tuck it up the best he could, but there isn't alot of space to maneuver. Unless you get welded tips to piping, but I love my exhaust.

One single muffler is usually quieter than two of the same muffler in parallel. Restriction will probably be less than stock with a straight through design anyway.

Looks great! I am a big fan of hidden exhaust and the burned tip look with bright blues.

Thanks I appreciate it. Not really hidden but brought up and into the rear frame by the welder as best he could. Had to modify the hangers. It shows but isn't hanging down low like some of these aftermarket exhaust.

Would a single 2.5" be large enough or should it be 3"???

Do you know what size the perforated core is? Some companies use common cores in different cases. There wouldn't be much point in going bigger than your exhaust pipe, but I wouldn't want it smaller.

I
I'm not sure about the core size. The piping is 2.5". I was going to have a muffler shop do the piping all 2.5"
