Maxxed out Gastank!

Whoa check this out. Talk about running on fumes! Anyone ever got this many gallons in their 10th gen yet ?

There's about 2 gallons of reserve fuel left, so you technically weren't driving on fumes...

Also keep in mind that fuel acts as a coolant to the fuel pump, so running your tank dry repeatedly will cause premature failure of fuel pump!

...also I'm very envious of your gas prices...I pay ~$55 for a full tank

Nice! The most I've put in so far was 12.244. Good to know I had some extra left beyond that.

Doesn't sound that cheap to me, though - that much gas at the station by my house would be $24.42 currently

I use a funnel to add TC-W3 to the fuel then jam the nozzle into the funnel and it will take another 1.25 gal. then overflow..that's when I'm full but never did more than 12.25 total or so...how accurate is the range display?

Range display, as with any system designed for direct interaction with the user, is built in with a safety.

While I haven't tested it with this car, you can usually drive another 40 miles or so after the needle hits bottom, and range displays 0.

Usually in Northern California (Bay Area) it will cost me around $25-$35 depending on how brave I was pushing the range that day.

The gas station next to my work (30 miles away from home in another state) is 30 cents a gallon less so I just buy gas when I reach 1/4 tank next to work. I would love to know the real capacity though.
When you put 12.4 gallons in it did you top off or stop at the first click?

Exactly the same!! i filled from completely empty after picking the car up from dealership: 47 liters (12.4 gallons!) but it was around 35$. Usually i fill up just before the low fuel light comes on, so it is under 30$. I always fill at the cheapest fuel station in town and get the cheapest gas they have.
I only filled at the same pump in the same gas station since day one at least if something happens I know who is responsible hahaha
