Does anyone know if the manual transmissions in the 1.5T and 2.0 are the same?

I ask because I am interested in a 1.5T 6MT but have not found one to test drive and will probably have to order one. I'd really like to see how the transmission feels before making that commitment. I've found a 2.0 6MT to test drive.

I have 1.5t 6mt, the clutch is a littlebit light, the shifter is Precise but the most annoying thing is the rev hang. I dont know if the 2.0 rev hang like the 1.5t. I got flashpro and the rev hang is the same as stock. Hope it can help you a littlebit.

Thanks for the tips. I'm really hoping that Flashpro will take care of the rev hang at a later date, though I think I can live with it since I do not expect to do much auto crossing or anything in this one.

I've done some looking around on OEM parts websites and it looks like they are the same. Almost everything related to the transmissions have the same part numbers. I haven't been able to confirm though.

Would love for someone that works at Honda to chime in and say for sure.

I could've gotten a deal on a '16 cvt ext coupe. I liked it alot, but then drove a sedan 2017 1.5 6 speed and honestly for fun factor it's like night and day. So I ordered my 1.5 manual coupe and had to wait 2 weeks to get it in. IMO worth the wait.

I'm curious about this as well. I often wonder why the 2016 turbo didn't have the MT as an option...
It was simply a decision to not have it in the u.s. other countries had it..

On a side note.. Get the 1.5L i test drove the 2.0L lx last year.. Liked it but really wanted the 1.5L waited and. Damn did i fall in love with it on my drive home from the dealer

I test drove a 2.0 6MT before I bought my 1.5T . The clutch feels basically the same, and the shifter assembly and everything is the same. They both shift pretty nice for FWD. I didnt really notice any differences in regular driveability between the two MT cars.

I concur. I own the 2.0 MT, test drove a 1.5T MT a couple of weeks ago. The transmission felt the same.

Thanks for the replies. I drove a 2.0 6MT last night. Very light clutch compared to what I'm used to but no real complaints. Looks like ordering my 1.5T 6MT Sport hatchback is a go, just have to decide on color. I think I've narrowed it down between red and polished metal. Going to look again tonight.

me drive 2.0 6 speed for 1 year-very nice. a tune would have done nicely to round it out. shift throws acceptable. drove like it should have engine wise and trans wise.
driving 1.5 6speed now in the hatch. 3 months now? throws seem longer. tune on the motor seems un civilized to me- unpredictable, hard to keep it tame. also trans ratio could be a little closer. shifts seem longer to me. needs a good tune to smooth it out.
witch one to get?
the 1.5, when you feel the tq you'll know.
before i spring for a tune i'll need study my driving. in the mean time a short shifter adapter is ordered
