There is a similar thread in the Engine/Exhaust/Transmission/Tuning section but since this is specific to the Si I thought a post here may be helpful in the future. The thread I referenced can be found here:

http://www.civicx.com/threads/ktuner-vit-legends.16648/

and another: http://www.civicx.com/threads/vittuned-stage-1-offer-for-the-civic-si.15128/

I like most have done a lot of reading and planning on what mods I want to do for performance. I debated a tune for a short time due to warranty concerns, but ultimately decided to make the purchase and let what happens happen. I bought the Si to have fun, and trust the reliability of Vittuners and the Ktuner product.
My Civic Coupe Si is completely stock as far as the drive-train is concerned. I have ordered the PRL intake but that is still a little ways off. I have used only 93 octane since the first dealer fill was emptied.

I watched all the Ktuner tutorial videos on Ktuners site and they were helpful:
http://www.ktuner.com/KTunerHelp/table_of_contents.htm?ms=AwAQCA==&st=MA==&sct=MA==&mw=MjQw

There are no instructions other than what you will see online. see here http://ktuner.com/downloads/

The only problem I had was finding my ECU Software ID for my car on the Ktuner screen that Vit requires before sending the tune via email, but after using the Ktuner help search box I was able to locate it. Vit has prepared a 19/25 (Sport Buton) dual tune specifically for the Si, titled Stage 1 tune. https://vittuned.com/ktuner-flash-civic-si-combo-stage-1.html
Before installing the tune I had ideas of a PRL front/downpipe combo and their FMIC kit in progress. After taking the Si out and pushing the SPORT button and activating the 25psi tune I am content, very content. I will still be adding the PRL intake but that is probably the most I will do. Certainly a clutch would be needed for anything more, maybe even for the 25 psi tune as it is.

My suggestion is this, before adding all those bolt ons try the 19/25 Stage 1 from VIT, if you need more then go from there. Chances are the transformation will be enough just from the tune. The fun factor just went to a 10. AMAZING!

I got the V1 as I do not plan on changing a lot and have a small handy Windows 10 laptop.

the 25psi adds exactly how much power?

Is that what's shown in this graph?

Thanks! That was what I was thinking as well. Similar idea, tune and PRL CAI. It's my commuter car.

Maybe Vit will chime in, I cannot comment on which of the tunes that represents, 19 or 25. Here is his blog explaining testing but not the 25 psi map. Appears that roughly 300 wtq from what the graph shows on the 25 psi

I feel same as you. Don't feel like I need much else. I am waiting on the PRL cobra preorder to ship here soon but after that, IDK what I would do. Car is vastly improved already.

Wow awesome write up man, I'm currently researching this exact same package myself. My only fear is the clutch, can you elaborate on how it seems to be holding up?

Do you think that Vit was referring to 260-280 tq on Stage 1? I ask because 300 tq is a lot - @maddmatt02 's clutch couldn't hold that much during his custom tune video, so I'd be very worried about slippage. I'd also be concerned about the rods long term with 300 tq - there just isn't enough long term data yet to say whether they'll hold up or not. 260-280 tq was, I believe, right around when Matt's clutch started to slip, so even that might be pushing it.

I only went on a 15 minute ride and was gentle with back to back flogging. It was such a drastic difference with the 25psi that I know constant full throttling will not be healthy for the clutch. I am already debating clutch savings $ fund.

Stage 1 19 psi no issues. 25 psi in Sport Mode...who knows. His blog on 23 psi was showing roughly 275 tq.

From the Blog:
“The car has a PRL downpipe on it — that’s the only mod besides the Clutchmasters clutch”

Yes he’s referring to stage 1. I had specifically asked him about the stage 1 stock

I am assuming this is with the 25 psi from the Stage 1 19/25 psi Si only tune. Its very close to 300wtq. And it felt that way to me today!!!

“On our test vehicle we saw gains of 80 wheel torque and 40-50 wheel horseipower over stock. We also worked on cleaning up the top end to avoid the power drop we saw on the KTuner basemaps above 5800 rpm.”
