I just purchased the N1 exhaust and trying to install it. In the front where the 3 bolts line up the bolts are not long enough to go through the exhaust piping. For those who have a full exhaust did you have to remove these bolts/studs...if you did how did you do it??

did the exhaust come with new bolts for it?
try putting a nut on that stud then hammering it out if its not tack on the other side

those studs seem to be pretty long to fit. are you sure you using the right pipe or facing it the right way?

Yes the exhaust came with new bolts, tried the nut hammering idea didn't work lol studs aren't long enough for this exhaust and there is only one way it fits. Had to put my stock exhaust back on and try again this weekend :(

have you tried laying the new exhaust out to see if thats the right pipe it goes to. maybe it connects directly to the downpipe?

That flange is too thick to bolt up to the stock bolts/studs whatever they are!

You might be able to find a small stud press or tool at auto zone or advanced auto parts that you can rent for free.

That's what I always fall to if I have small problems. Auto zone or advance auto, bonds, Napa. They all have helped me out greatly in the past.

I had to hammer out the studs on my Cat the last time I installed an exhaust. I had to take the whole cat off to get a good angle on it. No way I would have been able to do it while under the car. Granted, it was on a 17 year old car. Also bent up the flange pretty good, but the tightening of the exhaust bolts straightened it out.
