Hate me all you want but I'm very disappointed.

This was the best chance for Honda to get the SI closer power size with the rest of the sport compact cars (GTI, Focus ST, WRX).

They just played safe and decided to present you a Fiesta ST fighter.

Wow that sucked. 40 second video? and the 205hp/192lb-ft torque part of the video goes by so fast I missed it. Possibly the worst reveal of the decade!!

Well.... SMH

Well, it's official. The Si is so far from the TypeR considering how close they were in 99-00.
Oh well, it wasn't going to be for me anyway-

Look on the bright side, least it's more powerful than the Sentra Turbo NISMO. So it's not bottom of the pack.

I'm glad Honda didn't feel it needed to compete with the other manufacturers on HP figures. If this thing weighs less than a Fiesta ST, (its already lighter than the Focus ST), the power figures are more than enough to keep it fun, and just as fast as the ford hot hatch line up (minus the RS). Now just keep the pricing around 22,000~ and I think it wont do too bad, remember the Si was never a volume seller, this car only exists because the base civics are selling really well.

I wish they would release the gear ratios soon, and also i wish the torque and power curves didnt start dying down after 5500RPM...that feeling of tapering down power in the higher RPM totally kills the driving experience, especially in a car with an Si badge.

With all that said...if someone really wants this car but the HP figures are turning them away...I bet tuners will be able to get 250 out of this with just a tune and and a 3" down pipe lol

I just noticed in the video they put the HP in small font beneath the torque..lolz. Almost like they realized they fucked up and were like, "include the HP, but make it almost unreadable".
Remove the '.' and it says "do not attempt performance improvement over 2015 civic si."

All jokes aside - if it dropped 100lbs less than the 8th Si, it will be a good runner. I wonder how it dyno's compared to rating.

It does look like it can carry speed through corners...

This turd should not be called an SI. Lame. Civic has gone back to be being the car of choice for high school girls. Shame.

The most interesting thing to me is the remote start with the 6MT.
Focus ST has had it for years! About time Honda got on board.
I wonder if this means it has rev-matching?

A Fit Si should be competing with the Fiesta ST, not the Civic.
