Apple Valley Honda Wenatchee, Wa refused to sell their CW Ctr to anyone but a local. Then decided to do a pre qualify/auction. Apparently that failed and know they want $47,225

The wind is changing... I can feel the dealers are having a hard time selling the CTR with $10K ADM.
Last month, some dealers in CA are charging $15K to $20K ADM. And they wouldn't negotiate with me even with my check book in hand ready to pay in full at MSRP + $5K.

Today 3 dealers called me saying they are willing to lower the ADM to $10K. One of them told me he has one coming next week and there is a buyer from Los Angeles coming in tomorrow to buy it at MSRP + $10K. But he will sell it to me if I come in today because I am the first one on the wait list. Last month he told me there were over 20 people ahead of me, but today I am somehow became #1 on the list. I told him to bump the next person in line from his imaginary list to take over my #1 position, and that I am no longer interested in paying over MSRP for this car.

I wouldn't be surprise if they call me back again one month from now willing to lower the ADM to $5K. And then lower it to $1 over MSRP when winter hits. I am not sure why I am not eager to buy the CTR anymore even at MSRP. May be I am just fed up with these greedy dealers. Perhaps I want to wait for the based trim next year. I heard the new and powerful Honda S2000 is coming next year for the Honda 70th anniversary. So many options to choose from next year.

I know what you mean. Just the bad experiences and the lies makes you fed up to the point of not even wanting a car anymore. If I was given the runaround like that. I just would not want to buy a car. Not because of the cost but the principle of the whole ordeal.

I blame it on the top-line supervisors at the dealerships.
So long as they're making money, they could care less.

And this effect trickles down, from their sycophantic managers to their juvenile salespeople.
And how can you blame them? The majority of them aren't fit for the ludicrous business of selling cars and end up getting cut within a month or so, or transferred to another dealership.

I've had a female "product specialist" be too scared to go with me on a test drive in a Subaru WRX...
Then her manager berated her in front of me as if it was her deficiency that they put her in such a position.
Needless to say, he got a little earful from me and I wasted a 2 hour drive down to Riverside.

A little gesture goes a long way, but it seems loyalty means nothing these days.
Really sad about the guy who's bought like 7 vehicles from a Honda dealership and they're trying to charge him 15k ADM for a CTR.
I'm sure they're telling him a bunch of crap about how its an amazing value (5 people just waiting in line to purchase it if he doesn't).

I'm getting a lot of "Please call me" emails after asking for a price quote. I respond with "I'll just assume if you can't send me a quote by email, it's too much for me. Thanks though."

I'm hearing from several dealers that sales people are frustrated they can't sell the car because the managers or owners tell them it's not enough money even when offered 10-11K over.

Local Dealer Victory Muncie Indiana: They are still sitting on their blue for 10k ADM. I have been calling them for years about the Type R and then following closely since they have received it. I called back this morning to see if their tune had changed, NOPE now their sales person Jeremy was trying to tell me no more cars were coming and the factory wasn't even making anymore. I had him go on the Honda site and look up the cars in transit, he couldn't explain it and told me the other dealers were lying about getting more inventory. I'm over this shit. Honda is part of the problem because they aren't communicating to their dealers according to him.

Just contacted Russ Darrow Honda in Milwaukee, they are selling a PMM @ "MSRP+ACCESSORIES" which is about 3500 I was told, I'm pretty sure that's negotiable.

They don't want a paper trail it seems. I just reply "EMAIL ME". Dumb.

He's probably not lying. Honda wont be sending that particular dealer any more CTRs because of their greed. Their allotments are done.

Wow, this is getting out of hand with these Honda dealers, looks like I might be looking else where when I'm ready to buy a new car. I gotten a few emails and calls from dealers and my response is F.O.

Gunn Honda San Antonio is getting a blue one in two weeks, so begining of August? This will be their second or third R. They received a black one in July (asking 10k ADM and was sold), already sold a white one (date unk/adm unk), and now the blue one in two weeks. I was informed there will be ADM, amount unknown. I'm only paying MSRP so I neither care nor ask about the ADM.

Just wait it out. ADM will fade on these cars.
