I know I might be in the minority here, but it is 2016, should we still have to see metal pipes sticking out from underneath our cars? Seems a bit old fashioned at this point :D

The exhaust exiting under the car like that needs excessive baffling to prevent drone. If the exhaust is 'opened up', then the pipes will need to exit behind the car... But this being the 'commuter' model, we're not supposed to think along these lines. They want us to buy an Si! That being said, if they offer it with a CVT or DSG, I'll be seriously pissed I didn't wait! ;)

I actually am in the minority. I like not seeing the exhaust pipes. To me it looks like a cleaner rear end.

First post here...

I've owned Honda and Acura cars in the past (CRX, Civic, Integra) but recently have been driving Hyundai/KIA cars (Elantra GT, Forte SX). I'm very impressed with this 10th gen Civic.

I am curious about something. The turbo models have dual mufflers yet Honda chose to keep them hidden with unfinished tips. There's not even an accessory chrome/stainless exhaust tip available. Why do you think Honda choose to go this route? It seems like it doesn't fit the new sporty look they were going for... :dunno:
They actually do make a few of these. Here are just a few links:

This seller on Amazon makes a lot of trim pieces specifically for my car, the 2016 Civic EX-T, and they all appear to be pretty awesome.
Seller's username is "HIGH FLYING".

All High Flying products are aftermarket and some ofriends their items are on ebay and sometimes less than amazon. If you want OEM accessories including the exhaust tips look up seller Riennakane on ebay. OEM tips pics attached.

Some of the guys here have said that not showing the exhaust tips goes towards the car's image as being very gas friendly and efficient. Don't know if true.
If this is the case, the Si and Type R better have some big ole pipes sticking out the back. Gas friendly is not going to be a focus of mine if I end up going this route with my next vehicle.

Although the driving dynamics have improved, Honda is prioritizing the "green" personality on its base models. Also, the lower stance means they would have to cut away the rear valance to avoid clearance issues. The more sporty personality will be reserved for the Si and above. Though if they follow Accord's lead they could introduce a "Sport" option with the 6MT, spoiler, larger wheels, and chrome tip exhaust.
Would be really nice if Honda finally realized that sunroofs actually add to the "Sport" nature of a fun to drive car......find it utterly ridiculous that I cannot get a moonroof in a car as nice looking as the Sport edition Accord.

Weight on top is the worst for vehicle dynamics. An edition looking to improved vehicle dynamics and handling really shouldn't have a moonroof. they are pretty heavy.
