Flew to Alabama to pick up my CTR CW!

Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Here's the chain of events:

• Tuesday June 20th, called and messaged around 100 places in the east coast for a Championship White CTR
• Most dealerships either
  • Had one coming
  • Already 5+ in line
  • 10k average ADM
  • PreSold
• Received a text with an picture of Gene (my sales rep) unloading a CW from the trailer (Bel Air Honda)
• Called them right away, found out they had 5k ADM and first come first serve rule
• Convinced them down to 3k and I promised them a 5k non refundable deposit
• Was given 24 hours to seal the deal
• Booked a flight for next day
• Flew from Orlando to Mobile Alabama (almost missed my flight) because couldn't find parking in the airport?!...
• Had a layover in ATL, so I arrived at 5:30 - 2 hours before closing
• Sealed the deal, no funny business.
• Drove back 530 miles and most of it in heavy rain (large storm was coming through gulf coast)
• Righteously broken in 550 miles
• Folded back seats flat and napped couple hours (not bad!) and I'm 6 feet tall lol
• Hydroplaned a few times, not sure if it's the car or just a crazy storm (hopefully Some of you guys in gulf coast can feedback on the weather)
• Car is dirty now, but no rock chips luckily
• Just got it tinted this morning!
  • 30% llumar ceramic all around
  • 80% lunar blue windshield
• Looking to get 19" wheel and tire set
• Plan to keep these floor mats and wheels/tires new-ish forever

Out of all the stories of people capable of paying the 5-10k ADM, you are the first to actually try to pay the least possible with even flying and driving it back. At least you tried lol.

But you only save what? 1k after expenses, instead of paying 5k over?

Not bashing at all, I'm in the same boat. I live in California, and could afford 5k, but I'm secured at a dealership in Michigan, and will be having it delivered. Unless someone closer can beat their price plus shipping.

That was amazing what you went through to get your dream car. I am more impressed at your determination than the car itself . In the pic with the sales rep in it, I think I see a few more CW type Rs still on the trailer.... Anyway I am very happy for you. Congrats.

It's great..I can tell its much cooler now. Definitely worth the investment. I think it'll also give the dashboard more longevity (i've seen some dashes melt or get sticky)
