Which ones are y'all talking about leaking? The $25 ones or the $45 ones?

The Depo ones can also leak, so basically all for the third party ones are susceptible.

I have the ones linked to and just checked last night and see no moisture or water in them. And I'm in New Orleans, where it's been raining for the past week (we're over 5 inches and counting.....it's storming as I type this).

Hey about to buy these but had a quick question. Should I still get the Sylvania 194A bulbs from amazon? Here the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BDWKUFS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
Most people have used these LEDs. I bought them too, but didn't like the look when they were on. The yellow was very concentrated around the bulb and the light didn't disperse very well through the entire side marker. So I put in regular amber colored filament bulbs (which came with my clear side markers), which the light disperses much better throughout the whole sidemarker. Just my personal preference.

It's really up to you. I've never taken mine off since I first installed them. I like the frosted look to them so they blend better within the marker housing. I've seen others use the super bright white LED bulbs instead of the ambers. Personally, I prefer having the ambers for compliance. Good luck to you. :);)

Yeah the install is super straight forward. I am not a fan of having to seal them but that may need to become an option.

@Dretlaw how are your sidemarkers holding up now?
Apologies. I don't see my reply to ur question. My smoked ones held up great without any signs of water or moisture inside. As someone said it seems to be a hit and miss. I ended up removing the platidip on my grille and in the process of swapping back to the JDM clears broke the tab that locked the right smoke marker in place. RIP. Will need to reorder new ones.

It's interesting to see NA car owner changes to clear white, while Asian car owner changes to orange. Why bother??

Oh and thank you @Dretlaw for this helpful and easy to follow guide. I just installed my clear side markers a couple of days ago following your guide. Thanks again!
