I've been keeping my eyes open for something from Honda and HPDE drivers but I haven't seen anything.

Koyorad has released a full aluminum radiator with a higher capacity holding. And Greddy has prototype oil coolers, I've only experienced higher coolant temp on long drives. But I put over 200miles on the Glen 20minute sessions and didn't feel a loss in power but then again the weather was 75°+ but that's all I know of

I'm hoping Honda find a fix for it. This is a "track" car, so any overheating issues I think that they have to fix it not us.

I agree, too. Regardless, I'll be adding an oil temp gauge if I decide to keep the car.

i know from first hand that honda has done testing with a larger all aluminum radiator with higher fluid capacity and saw no benefit for track temps. The issue is fresh air flow through the radiator and more fluid just means are high volume that is heat soaking. I have a grill with 50% more air flow to the radiator and saw an improvement in temps. United Speed Racing has also used my car to prototype their new Setrab based oil cooler setup. It uses a top of the line cooler core, large -10 lines for optimal flow and places the cooler at the bottom of the intercooler where there originally was an open space. Minimal trimming is required and the side vents dont have to be opened up which will cause a change in air flow dynamics of the front end. I have yet to actually be able to test the efficiency since it is now winter here, but I know it will be a positive result.

I looked on their site and didn't see how much it will reduce the temperature of the oil. So are you the only one testing it, or are there others that can give insight on the performance?
Do you think it will still fit with an upgraded FMIC, like from PRL?

No offense, but I do not want a less than aesthetically pleasing blank aftermarket grill with no H logo. Just looks weird. I wish Honda would come up with a solution like what Chevrolet did with the 2014-'15 Z28. Made the front emblem pass-through for better air flow.

Nice! Chevy did the right thing. Here's hoping Honda will quickly address the issue.

Mmm, an open logo without the red background on a Type R? That will be difficult for Honda. I think it’s better to address this question to an aftermarkt supplier.

In case of the Type R, I think the whole car is already so expressive that I think a logo can be left away. In fact the car is one big logo on itself!

If you don’t agree, maybe you can opt for installing a mega big logo decal on the roof, similar to the Union Jack flag on a Mini? ;-)
Or perhaps a Japanese flag instead? :-D

Or instead Type R hood stickers, they go up to 22 inches big!

Did they give any info on how much it cools the oil? I know you haven't done your testing, but what they claim from the MFR?
